Universal Salvation and religious tolerance mixed with strife

Hello Jim and Donna:

I rejoice that you and your family believe in universal salvation/universal reconciliation.  But a group being called “Christian Universalist Association” seems odd to add the word “Christian” in their ministries name.  Wouldn’t that also mean that there should be an Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, and Buddhism universal salvation groups?

Since you probably know more about Christianity, then it is easier for you to share with others who have the same mindset when using Christian verbiage and getting everyone on the same page of understanding.  Humans like to go to spiritual salad bars and pick and choose what psychological or theological foods they consume.  Sometimes we all eat the wrong spiritual foods and get sick LOL.

I have notice that universal salvation groups attract 3 major groups as members:

(1) This first group of Individuals are extremely unhappy with local or world religions who hurt them spiritually, emotionally or physically, who now believe in universal salvation, where God is more loving, gives grace and forgiveness and is able to separate them from their sins, without hurting them in the process.

All organized religions are very corrupt, simply because sinful humans have written their “Holy Writ”, misinterpreted the message from God given to them to share and decided to make God in their image.  Religionist write scripture demanding one group of humans conquer and destroy their enemies. If someone hurts or kills someone they love, they want them tried, convicted and executed and pray they be sent to hell for eternity.  The apostles said, “Shall we call down fire from heaven and destroy our enemies”.  Humans are drawn to piety (self-righteousness), hatred of others, and revenge in every generation of mankind.  God gives mercy to everyone, for we are all made in the Image of God

(2)  This second group of individuals is extremely unhappy with those of the opposite gender whom they have dated or married.  The LGBT members are not being accepted by members of local or world religions.  Think about it, when gays and lesbians and transgender go to a regular Jewish, Muslim or Christian, etc. gathering, they will hear or read religious verbiage that says that all LGBT members are very evil and are going to hell for eternity. 

When my Bible says that “All have sinned and come short of the Glory of God”, “There is none righteous, no, not one” then we know that comparing ourselves with others and thinking we are more righteous than others is an illusion and we know not the truth.  A person’s attempt to be righteous and straight, wouldn’t make them less worthy of hell and an LGBT lifestyle doesn’t make anyone less worthy of heaven. It is the OBJECT OF OUR FAITH in Emmanuel (our Creator) that saves us.   

(3) This third group is millions of individuals worldwide who are now ex-lesbians, ex-gays, ex-bi-sexual and ex-transgenders who are broken-hearted when they are not accepted in the churches that believe in Universal Salvation groups, Unity Churches or any main world religions.  And when a man and his wife and young daughter love the church, they joined 6 months ago and they feel compelled to give their personal testimony at the end of the worship service and proclaim how much love and acceptance they feel at this particular church.

This man and his wife reveal a secret that they are no longer ashamed of, for they both have been healed of their damaged emotions that were buried in a sea of pain.  The man was in the gay lifestyle for 10 years and his wife was a lesbian for 5 years and God gave them the desire, strength and will to forgive and love those of the opposite gender who created extreme unhappiness in their lives. 

The problem is that Unity and Universal Salvation churches ONLY SUPPORT members who are actively involved IN ENCOURAGING, PROMOTING and PROTECTING the lesbian, gay, bi-sexual or transgender lifestyle.  During this couple’s testimony the LGBT members in the congregation will feel VERY embarrassed (not because they are LGBT members) but because they never could connect emotionally in a positive way with the opposite gender individuals and eventually have a MATE AND CHILDREN.  I have never been told of any faith group that gives love, encouragement, and appreciation to ex-LGBT members but all ministries of practicing LGBT members exhibit EXTREME HATRED to ex-LGBT members and they also oppose their church leaders taking the view that God can change us to our betterment and give us a happy and loving mate and children.

God would like all humans to experience the abundant life in this imperfect world, don’t expect or demand that everyone is healed of all harms (spiritually, emotionally and physically) in this life.  I remember a man walking his dog and I noticed the dog being very fearful of me and the man said that the dog hates adult males, another person told me her dog hates children but he loves adult males and females. 

I would be very foolish if I said the dogs were born that way; the truth is they were tortured and abused by humans.  God is our only spiritual judge and we are only accountable to Him.  Humans made in the Image of God need to replace our false piety, with the realization that we need to love and forgive ourselves and others.  We should STOP trying to get revenge on others different than us and expressing hatred in our speech and actions that hurt LGBT members is a sin.  LGBT members and straight people need to remind themselves regularly that all humans are spiritual beings and we all have religious faith; for very few individuals are atheists. 

Let all of humanity co-exist and live in peace and harmony with everyone else on planet earth, for we are all sinners in the hand of a loving God.  We can’t or shouldn’t force others to change and be like us.  And it is also evil for anyone to give us bad service where they work, vandalize our property, lie to us or harm us financially or physically because they have a different sexual orientation or different political, religious or health-care views.

May God bless the individuals in all 3 groups that are listed above, I pray this in the name of Emmanuel (meaning God with us) AMEN!
