Why God allowed sin to permeate our human existence, and do harm to all humans made in the image of God.

If God had never allowed Adam and Eve, and ALL OTHERS made in the image of God to be confronted with a “Sinful choice” in our daily lives, then WE HUMANS would be UNAWARE that our righteousness is NOT EQUAL TO THAT OF A HOLY GOD, who is a “non-created being” (who is UNABLE TO SIN). Abbott and Costello performed the “Who’s on First?” skit. Abbott is telling his friend Costello the names of all the players on a fictitious baseball team. “Who” is the name of the first baseman, “What” is the second baseman, “I Don’t Know” is the third baseman, etc. The problem is that the person talking about the team and the person hearing about the team ARE NOT ON THE SAME PAGE of understanding.

If all of creation had stayed PERFECT from the beginning, we would talk to God and say: God we know that you are perfect and you say everyone made in the image of God is PERFECT, so our righteousness is EQUAL TO GOD our Creator. Then God would say, that He kept us perfect and sinless. God would also add, you would have sinned if I had not INTERFVEINED, for created beings don’t have the opportunity, strength and will to stay perfect; because our source of PERFECTING has to be attached to a being that is greater than us.

We would conclude with, what is sin and when did we EVER SIN in word or deed? But humans made in the image of God simply lack knowledge and understanding that we humans can NEVER BE the source of our PERFECTION of good thoughts or good works. Once we know these truths about the concept of good and evil; then we are appreciative of being SUBSERVIENT to a Holy Power greater than all of us humans. P.S. Emmanuel teaches this lesson to us WITHOUT HARMING the part of us MADE IN THE IMAGE of God. Our sinfulness is harmed and cast into hell for eternity, but not our Spirit that God LOVES and REDEEMED 2,000 years ago. AMEN
