The Sin is HUBRIS... not plain PRIDE, and here is why....

I get it, I really do, all these outlets are operating as a business… And how do they make money? Advertising! (more continues: /media/2024/07/click-bait-here-click-bait-there-everywhere-click-bait-2515961.html )
Yes, sorry, frankly I TOO find especially the initial Ads (they pile up, to be able to get them viewed in case someone doesn't read the whole article) here interrupting a nice/natural Read flow and are ANNOYING (but it keeps the Site FREE FOR VIEWING no Pay Wall to have to BUY your way past) and conversely their annoyance may indeed keep some from wanting to bother (so, Please, there is some GREAT CONTENT here on B4IN, keep reading the entire pieces despite the annoying Ads) and note if you engage an AD BLOCKER often I have found it/they can cause issues with seeing all the intended article content --- don't want you to miss any of mine, nor anyone else who posts here entire content as intended! The authors images (some or all), videos (some or all), their intended cross-reference links (vs Site produced Ad links, the easy Share-At/On buttons, and more, might also get "blocked" from viewing. And so now, to catch any NEW Readers, I too adding to annoyance having to repeat this over and over. My apologies. I endeavor to always give you DETAILED WRITINGS (and cross-reference related links with other rabbit-holes you can go down) hopefully you'll deem worthy of putting up with the annoying Ads to engage in/with.
I am NOT fond of the changes, but I have been with B4IN a long time now - certainly not looking to leave.

Yes, this is going to be a brief/quick (what I often call drive-by/pot-shot posting, that I rail against when others do it ALL THE TIME (on occasion, fine, but do not do these short drops all the time))….

The Sin is HUBRIS… not plain PRIDE, and here is why…

 

I have spoken to this several times on my ChristiTutionalist ^TM Politics show…

You SHOULD be PROUD of little Johnny who hits the walk-off-homerun at Little-League-Baseball.

You SHOULD be PROUD of little Sally getting all A’s on her Report Card.

You CAN be PROUD of a Job well-done at your place of employment.

HOWEVER, it is HUBRIS (and a SIN) if/when you go beyond the PRIDE and into you telling everyone ONLY YOU could have solved X problem or whatever and YOU SHOULD GET A RAISE! 

Now, yes, of course, the PRIDE of doing a Job well as argument that perhaps come RAISE IN COMPENSATION discussion time comes around and use examples as leverage to get your best increase – THAT IS DIFFERENT than the I AM THE MOST VALUABLE PERSON HERE type HUBRIS attitude!!!

And, yes, THIS will be referenced (well, the HUBRIS part) in my forthcoming book working title of: “Project CARPE DIEM!“

IT IS HUBRIS, like in the REVELATIONS show (and a few others) when talking about THE RAPTURE if one’s attitude is BYE SUCKERS you will be CAUGHT UP very soon and therefore why you don’t have to engage in bothering to help PULL THE CART of getting things done (Sowing GOOD, or be complicit in the Evil allowed and the ROTTEN FRUIT from that then all trying to choke down) in the here-and-now. That kind of HUBRIS says YOU ARE TELLING GOD what MUST HAPPEN, YOU will be Raptured – NO, it is on God’s TIME and God’s PLANS not yours/ours!!! He may have reasons to want you RAPTURED or reasons TO NOT – not up to US!!!!

 

RELATED: Maybe I will start building it now, come back and update this piece with the (I guess, YouTube Playlist link?
