Reindex - Follow the Content is King Method Closely

Nowadays, Google and MSN, whose Bing search engine took over Yahoo’s, are the major search engines. You should also take AOL Search, AllTheWeb, AltaVista, Ask, Dogpile, EntireWeb, Jayde, ScrubtheWeb and the Open Directory seriously. What should you do to make your website move way up in their SERPs (search engine results placements), so that when potential clients (unique visitors) type a search term in such as “kitchen sinks,” they will see and click on your site’s home page link before your competitors’ links on the first page results?

Well, mainly it’s a problem related to the search engine “bots” (robots) and “spiders” or “crawlers” going over your site repeatedly, noticing changes in it and reindexing your website. If you get your site reindexed frequently, possibly even daily, it will move up and over your competitors’ sites. This will require your changing your website copy around. Doing this and having a high Page Rank on Google, which you get by having many incoming quality links to other related websites, will really raise your site up high in the organic SERPs.

I want to start by mentioning that I have already sent you my best major “trick,” which involves changing around copy on the home page of our website. Over the years, I have used many different methods for improving RWI’s home page’s SERPs. Now we have listings near the top of Page One under many ghost-writing-relevant keyword search terms, such as ranging from #1 to #3 for “kitchen sink.”

Frankly, if you change the copy on your website on a regular basis, such as two or three times per week or even five days per week, your rankings will probably go up in Google. They are forced to respider your site whenever you make any real changes, sometimes even just minor “tweaks,” especially to your home page. So whenever you make changes to your home page or any of the other inside pages, Google will respider those pages, adding the changes.

For some reason, probably having to do with their infamous “algorithms,” this makes your site more “respectable” in Google’s eyes. They appear to “like” frequent changes to your text copy, though you shouldn’t make other kinds of frequent changes, such as adding many new images or rearranging them. Google doesn’t like images to begin with, and may penalize you for either adding more of them or messing around with them. Also, don’t change your background frequently, or use a pattern or picture for your background. A solid white background is the one most favored by Google and the other search engines, so please do stick with that, or you could be penalized and your site could go lower in the organic SERPs.
