Psychiatrists: If You Laugh Or Cry You're Insane

Are you a psychiatrist, psychologist, neurologist, state or federal worker? If you answer “none of those” then you may become a target some day. In fact, you may be diagnosed as insane—especially if you happen to laugh or cry and someone reports you to the thought police. Far-fetched? Not at all. Every emotion you experience from love to hate, from anger to joy is now classified as a potential mental illness in the new edition of the psychiatric manual DSM-5. Welcome to the 21st Century and total mind control. Straitjackets now come for the emotions and the mind. Cameras are everywhere and the unseen watchers are watching you. But who watches the watchers watch you?

Of course, another country once had that definition of mental illness: the Soviet Union. There, once upon a time, if you questioned the State you were sent to a mental hospital to be “cured.”

Long live Big Brother!

Mike Adams, the Editor of NaturalNews.com has declared that psychiatry has gone insane. Considering that much of the “science of the mind” has been hijacked by political correctness and the tendency toward moral relativism, Adams’ diagnosis is probably accurate.

Adams points out that the so-called “‘mental disorders’ listed in the new DSM-5 manual include ‘General Anxiety Disorder’ or GAD for short. GAD can be diagnosed in a person who feels a little anxious doing something like, say, talking to a psychiatrist. Thus, the mere act of a psychiatrist engaging in the possibility of making a diagnoses causes the ‘symptoms’ of that diagnoses to magically appear.”

And that, Adams correctly emphasizes, is quackery.

No laughing matter

Although it’s pure idiocy to believe that a person who expresses basic human emotions is somehow mentally ill and must be cured with pharmaceutical drugs, the legion of dolts that warm newsroom seats at the mainstream media take it all seriously. Unfortunately. many politicians do too, and that’s where the real danger comes into play.

When you consider that every emotional reaction is now being labeled a sign of a mental disorder the State will use that to detain, restrict, even institutionalize those that disagree with its actions.

“The DSM is now larger than ever,” Adam writes, “and it includes disorders such as ‘Obedience Defiance Disorder’ (ODD), defined as refusing to lick boots and follow false authority. Rapists who feel sexual arousal during their raping activities are given the excuse that they have ‘Paraphilic coercive disorder’ and therefore are not responsible for their actions. (But they will need medication, of course!)

“You can also get diagnosed with ‘Hoarding Disorder’ if you happen to stockpile food, water and ammunition, among other things. Yep, being prepared for possible natural disasters now makes you a mental patient in the eyes of modern psychiatry (and the government, too).”

“Hello, I’m your new State-ordered psychiatrist.”

Emotional zombies are safe

Meanwhile, psychiatry has now shifted toward a generalized definition of “normalicy” as attaining the mental state of an emotionless zombie, Adams notes.

“The only way to be ‘normal’ when being observed or ‘diagnosed’ by a psychiatrist—a process that is entirely subjective and completely devoid of anything resembling actual science—is to exhibit absolutely no emotions or behavior whatsoever.”

Therefore, “a person in a coma is a ‘normal’ person, according to the DSM, because they don’t exhibit any symptoms that might indicate the presence of those God-awful things called emotions or behavior.”

Adams goes on working up a justifiable rant: “When the collapse of America comes, and the new society rises up out of it, I am going to push hard for the complete abolition of psychiatric ‘medicine’ if you can even call it that.”

If Adams realizes his dream, America will actually be a healthier place to live.
