In a move not at all consistent with freedom of speech the International Telecommunication Union-(ITU), a convenient ally of UN who wants to take by diplomatic force and semi-centered speeches over the Internet’s freedom, has ended its World Conference on International Telecommunications or WCIT ‘wicket’ in Dubai, no one seems to know exactly why Dubai was chosen as the focal point for an oraganization that has its roots in subservient countries like Africa, Dubai and others when such a conference should have been held at closer range such as European countries or the US, especailly where it could be observed more closely…[sic]

Would the goverment have ever created the simple yet so necessary HTML markup language as developed by Tim Berners-Lee in the 90′s?
We all know the answer: Katrina is just an eyeblink away! ʼʼ

But the fact of the matter is that its Secretary-General, Hamadoun Toure wants more then anything a censored and controlled internet all over the world. Without showing any regard for the freedom’s we have come to enjoy under the developed countries, he proposes a rule of law for internet, such as what lies ahead under his (UN’s) secret agenda.

Toure makes a call to arms under the so called security card. ʻʻIf you–your personal information, your banking details and even your identity–are not secure, then how can you use ICT with trust and confidence? We can all benefit from: cyber-resilience instead of cyber-threats; cybersecurity instead of cybercrime; and cyberpeace instead of cyberwar.ʼʼ

His short and overly-colored risqué sermon of cyber security would suggest that we should concede and adhere to some not so distant mandatory-ruling on Internet security regulation maybe prohibiting and undermining Education efforts by MIT, Harvard Collegue, to name a few, that currently provide unique educational content to deserving students the world over and who would otherwise see their dreams of a higher education turn to ashes as the uncontrolled efforts of a few right wing fundamentalists as Mr; Toure come to frution at the expense of freedom of speech and eventually turning their goals into a reality and a nightmare for the rest of us.

Asking for regulatory fees for data transfers and cyber security could put an end at the efforts made in free education, and greatly exacerbate the divide between rich and poor, between ignorance and education.

Some of the major participants at the conference, such as China, Russia and India, want changes made that would offer something close to ITU’s approval and goal; for control of the Internet within their respective borders.

ʻʻPut crudely, the different sides are those who want greater control over the Internet by governments, those who prefer greater control by ‘multiple stakeholders,’ and advocates of expanding the dispersed power of the global network’s two billion or so users,ʼʼ a Pacific Standard columnist wrote in August.

For those who do not know the International Telecommunication Union-(ITU) was founded with the pretense of providing and making broadband accessible to millions of users for a minimal cost or free in poor countries.

The Internet was born free, we believe it shall remain free, it should not be entrusted to no body or entity of goverment to control and regulate its very existence under no circumstances or pretext. The Toure takeover is a simple one: pay as you go and shut it down if don’t! silence those belligerant provocateurs who with their writings bring half truths across the web and to remove those who differ in opinion.
