Lenovo offer the cheapest laptop with a 1TB HDD

When it comes to an entry level laptop we are going to be looking for basic specs and a low price, but we often find that in order to achieve the low pricing the manufacturer will often leave out some useful features. But here we see the new G585 laptop from Lenovo; it’s going on sale in the UK with a starting price of just £200! Now, surely you are not going to get a lot of laptop for that sort of money! Well, in fact this is a laptop that really does offer value for money and come cool specs too, you cannot go wrong with the G585 as an entry level machine.

The G585 laptop comes with the medium range 15.6 inch screen with high-definition display 16:9 widescreen and offering a 1366 x 768 of pixel resolutions. It will running on the Windows 7 Home Basic operating system with options to upgrade and is going to be powered by the popular AMD Brazos 2.0 Dual-core processor with 18w and 9w. There are system memory options up to 16 GB of DDR3 1333/1066 Mhz with 2 SODIMM slots and there is the huge up to 1 TB SATA II (SATA III compatible) hard disk drive (HDD) for storage purposes. While the graphics will be powered by the AMD Radeon HD7370 video card.

For networking there is the 10/100 M LAN (RJ-45 connector) with optional Bluetooth and for media there is the integrated DVD reader/writer or Blue-ray Disc drive. Other features include the two fast connecting USB 3.0 ports, the single standard style USB 2.0 port, headphones mic combo, HDMI, 2 in 1 (SD, MMC) card reader and a built in 0.3 mega pixel or 720p HD web camera. Size wise this laptop will measure in at 376 mm (W)) x 245 mm (D) x 34.3 mm (H) and weigh in at around 2.6 kilos with the battery pack installed that Lenovo say will be good for up to five hours of productive usage.
