MagBack – The World’s Thinnest iPad Mount

As you’ve probably seen, we really like to come across amazing iDevice accessories that might not be majorly pushed or backed by top named companies. We’ve featured all we can from creator Dotan Saguy, so when we see or hear of other products that resemble awesomeness, we can’t help but talk and tell everyone about them. What we’re talking about today is the MagBak, and this genius creation happens to be the World’s thinnest iPad mount.

To start, the MagBak is one of the most amazing things I’ve ever seen. I’ve watched the video that is on their Kickstarter page probably around 65 times since the creator first emailed me. The MagBak is a two-piece contraption that sticks to the back of your iPad, just at the sides. This serves as a grip for when you need to carry the iPad. It also rids you of what is my biggest complaint of Apple’s Smart Cover, when it is flipped around the back, it just falls and hangs. The Smart Cover will actually magnetically stick to the MagBak and will hold in place when in use. So yes, this works perfectly with the Smart Cover, and actually enhances it.

Not only are you getting some nice grip and Smart Cover enhancements, but where this really kicks ass is the fact that it is a mount. The MagBak will stick to most metal surfaces on its own. Just snap it against the flat surface and walk away. For those non-metal surfaces, they are providing a metal o-ring that will aide in the fight against a sleek metal society! The mount aspect of the MagBak is insane. You’ll watch the video and see how many different ways you’ll find yourself using this thing.

The design of the MagBak is so simplistic, you’d never guess it was a mount. No more pesky installations or bulky additions to your iPad or any surfaces in your house. It’s always there, always ready to help you view your iPad while freeing up your hands. I can’t wait to get one of these to test out for you guys. You know how much I love Dotan Saguy’s creations, and I honestly think this is something that will give him a run for his money. It’s a great idea, and as long as they can execute on it like they do in their video, there isn’t any reason you should back this project and eagerly wait to stick your iPad to everything in your house!

The Kickstarter Project has been live for a little over a week and has already passed up the goal by almost double. With 35 days to go, we’ll have some time to wait, but it will be worth it. Right now it’ll cost you $29 to secure yourself a MagBak in any color plus an o-ring. There are a few other pledge levels that will yield you additions like extra o-rings. The MagBak is nothing short of brilliance, it’s sleek and does so much. Go pledge, then spend the next couple months imagining the what you’ll be able to do with your iPad!
