Tesla Model S Gone Controversial after Catching up Fire

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

The present time can easily be called as the era of automotive transformation, where most of the brands are looking for better ways to shift energy consumption from petrol to biogas or electric battery cells. Much development is observed in the past few years in this regard. Tesla Motors is one of the movers to have this concern as their primary objective.

It’s been a decade since Tesla Motors is in the business of automobile manufacturing. Among its major developments, Tesla Model S is the most acclaimed one. Unfortunately, this is the same model under controversies, nowadays, as it experienced a fire catch-up for the third time in last six weeks.

It is hereby informed that Model S came out after a green signal from US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Known for being among the best EVs, Model S won several recognitions like World Green Car of the Year 2013, Automobile Magazine – Car of the year 2013, Motor Trend – Car of the Year 2013, and Time Magazine Best 25 inventions of the year 2012.

The third incident involving Model S has drawn the attention of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The authority is collecting facts to decide whether to investigate Tesla for any possible defects or not.

On the other side, the co-founder Elon Musk has clearly denied the safety shortcomings from the manufacturer’s end. Addressing to a conference sponsored by The New York Times Dealbook blog, he stated that there is no reason for a recall. However, the effect of these polemics is clearly emerging on the company’s business side, with a dropped down stock price.

Tesla is reported to release an update for their Model S software. The new version 5.8 will replace the old one (5.6), aiming to disable Active Air Suspension equipped vehicles to low at highway speeds. This new software enhancement could be a response to these aforementioned catastrophes.
