WTW Architects Names Three New Principals
Three new principals – Thomas P. Wiley, Lawrence J. Payne and Warren T. Bulseco have joined the WTW Architects management team.
“We are delighted to add these three outstanding performers to our group of principals,” said Richard DeYoung, WTW chief executive officer and president. “Their diligence, perseverance, vision and leadership will further strengthen our continued growth. It is all part of our ongoing effort to establish a line of succession for senior management.”
Wiley joined the firm in 1982. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he resides with his family in Ben Avon, PA.
He is a member of the American Institute of Architects, AIA Pittsburgh’s Committee on the Environment, Green Building Alliance, National Trust for Historic Preservation, and Pittsburgh Technology Council.
Wiley has been active in the design of dozens of projects for WTW including the award-winning University of Vermont Student Center, University of Houston University Center, Bowie State University Student Center in Bowie, MD, DePaul University’s Student Union in Chicago, East Stroudsburg University Information Commons, University of California at Irvine Student Center Expansion, University of Maryland – Baltimore Student Center, University of Pittsburgh Stephen Foster Memorial Auditorium Renovation and UPMC Shadyside Hospital Renovation.
Payne joined the firm in 1986. A graduate of Penn State University, he is also a member of the American Institute of Architects, Marshall Township Planning Commission, American Library Association and U.S. Green Building Council. He resides with his family in Marshall Township, PA.
He has been active in the design of large-scale educational, institutional and commercial buildings including renovations and historic restoration. His many projects include the Student Activities Center at the University of Texas – Austin, Des Places Residence Hall at Duquesne University, Bayer Corporation Research Center in West Haven, CT, Mt. Lebanon Transportation Center and Parking Garage, Fox Chapel School District High School Expansion and Renovation, Louisiana State University Union Renovation and Addition in Baton Rouge, UPMC Passavant Hospital East Wing Addition, Phillips/Respironics Inc. Addition and Renovation in Murrysville, PA, and an extensive series of projects for Penn State University including a new Knowledge Commons at their University Park Campus as well as projects at Penn State Beaver, Greater Allegheny, New Kensington and Shenango campuses.
A member of the WTW team since 1991, Bulseco has also been involved in a wide range of college and university projects ranging from student centers and recreation centers to student housing and other “Quality of Life” higher education facilities. A graduate of the University of Cincinnati, he is a member of American Institute of Architects, National Intramural Recreational Sports Association and Pittsburgh Technology Council. He resides with his family in Peters Township, PA.
Bulseco was active in the design of the University of Pittsburgh Johnstown Student Recreation Center, Upper St. Clair Recreation Center, Peters Township Community Recreation Center, Treesdale Golf & Country Club Facility, Student Housing at Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Sam Rayburn Student Center at Texas A&M University in Commerce, TX, Ohio University Baker University Center, FedEx Ground Headquarters Building in Robinson Township, PA, Northway Christian Community in Wexford, Medrad Headquarters and Manufacturing Facility in Harmar Township, Slippery Rock University Apartment Complex and Port Sky Dining Hall at Penn State Altoona’s Commonwealth Campus.
Headquartered in Pittsburgh, WTW Architects has an affiliate office in Colorado Springs. Founded in 1959, the firm has achieved national attention for a number of award-winning projects across the United States.
