Xdoria Case Roundup

We’ve looked at Xdoria cases before and overall been generally receptive of their design both in visual and utilitarian standpoints. For the 5c/5s launch, Xdoria joined other case manufacturers in flooding the market with countless covers with literally something for everyone. That said, the holidays are closing in and we’re certain many of you out there have yet to start your shopping. Sure, a big (or little) expensive electronic is always at the top of the list. But as a great stocking stuffer or side gift, a case to go with your phone is always a safe bet.

In the image up top we can see a good amount of Xdoria’s different cases currently available for the iPhone 5s (and 5), with each design featuring many more color options online. From the left we have the Spots, Rapt, Defense 720, Dash Icon and Scene Plus. For the soft/squishy case lovers the Spots case is right up your alley. It’s…soft and very good at reducing shocks when the phone is dropped. The downside of course is that it’s a dust magnet compared to the other offerings from Xdoria. The Rapt takes on the design of a basket weave and along with the various colors, benefits from an actual raised design giving it a bit of unique character. The Defense 720 is a nice compromise between protection and covering up vs letting the natural design beauty of the iPhone show through. The edge around the case is a softer material to account of bumps and drops while the back is a frosted hard plastic to protect against sharper, harder things life might through your way. The Dash Icon is one of our favorites in that the back of the case features actual woven designs. The feel isn’t quite so normal on a phone so the change of pace is nice, as is the stiff but semi-soft bumper around the edge of the case. Finally, we have the Scene Plus. This is the most revealing case of the bunch, so for those of you who want to show off your iPhone as much as possible while still providing minor drop/bump protection, this is your case.

Overall, we’re still a fan of Xdoria’s cases and think that if you’re in the market for a quick, last minute gift, you can’t go wrong with any one of these cases. That said, there’s more in the pipeline. CES 2014 is just a few weeks away and Xdoria, along with many other companies will have plenty of new gear to show off. Stay tuned…!
