LG’s Android 4.4 Upgrade Schedule Seems Lofty, Blowing Past 4.3.

At this point, any manufacturer who releases an Android 4.4 update to their device will have the word “finally” preceding everything. KitKat has been out for months now. It’s even worse when manufacturers release an even older version of Android, for arguments sake currently we’ll say Android 4.3 Jelly Bean. LG in particular has had a rocky update history. Countless times flagship devices have been more or less abandoned in less than a year for reasons unknown. But as we move through 2014, it appears that LG is going to be making quite a lot of strides in the update department if information obtained by PhoneArena turns out to be true.

A tipster of theirs sent in a bunch of User Agent profiles showing models that will allegedly be getting the Android 4.4 treatment. As for supported devices, it’s a long list including various Optimus G and G variants. Phonearena has the full list. check it out. While we’re on the topic, the tipster says that overall, LG isn’t messing around with 4.3 at all – a good idea considering it’s ancient at this point.
