Event presented by the Pittsburgh Chapter of the High Technology Crime Investigation Association

In today’s world of social media and 24 hour news stations, responding to a breach is no longer limited to a technical incident response. Organizations must also have a solid crisis management plan to keep their customers informed and protect their brand. The recent breaches at Target and other major retailers will be used as a case study to examine how organizations can better respond to breaches. This talk will cover a number of lessons learned, which can be applied to any industry. We will review the public information about the Target breach and outline failures they experienced in the areas of incident response and crisis management. The talk will also cover ways your organization can avoid these same mistakes to better protect your customers and your brand.
