Facebook Pages Are Getting A New Streamlined Look

Facebook has now decided to show some love to Facebook Pages in terms of updated design and streamlining. This has to do with their overall push for a more fluid and attractive design across the board. Facebook announced this on their Facebook for Business blog.

The new designs do look rather attractive and are focused even more on visual content than before. Also, the location of Page information and management tools have been streamlined so that they fit into a clean kind of overall design. Check them out below.

Updated Page Timeline:

The page timeline will only be a single panel of updates on the right. This will reflect both in your page and the newsfeed.

The left hand side of the page page will display information about your business such as as Likes, Fan information and invitation section, phone numbers, address, photos, videos and website URL.

Admin Tools:

The streamlined design makes the admin tools easier to access. On the right hand side, a page manager will be able to see Page stats from current week such as number of ads running, increase in Likes, Post reach and unread notifications. On the top left hand corner, the manager will be able to access the usual tabs such as Page, Activity, Insights and Settings. The Build Audience tab to the right will take the page admin right to the Ads manager account.

This new design gives much better accessibilities to these important page tools and thus can make managing a Facebook Page easier than before.

Pages to watch:

The pages to watch feature which was launched some time back, has also been updated. It is now available to all admins. It lets you watch 5 other pages and see how well they are doing in terms of Likes, number of posts and fan engagement rates. This helps page owners to keep a track of other pages that they might be competing against.

I like the new design for Facebook Pages as it is a big improvement on the existing and one will help page admins manage their work in a much better way than before. However, there seems to be no information on where Custom tabs, contest entry forms and additional media will be located.
