Snapdeal To Sell GOQii Fitness Band and Services in India

Last month, entrepreneur Vishal Gondal had unveiled GOQii a fitness band that tracks calories, distance and active time among others. Today, online marketplace Snapdeal has partnered with GOQii Inc.to bring the GOQii (pronounced as Go- Key) to the Indian market.

Vishal Gondal, founder & CEO of GOQii said, “Snapdeal has a proven record of consumer-empowering innovations, and its commitment to advancing consumer delight in ecommerce is aligned with the experience we wish to provide users.” One of the key features that sets this fitness band rest from others is that it offers personalized coach and lets you interact with him via chat over instant messenger or even pre-scheduled audio or video calls.

Users can place direct orders from Snapdeal for GOQii Life services. The complete GOQii Life plan will include the GOQii band, Personal Coach Service and the GOQii app to monitor a user’s health. A six-month plan (service) will cost Rs 5,999, while the 12-month package has been priced at Rs 9,999. The device which monitors your lifestyle habits and share your progress on social media will start shipping to customers in April.

The water resistant device will be launched in United States, United Kingdom, UAE and Singapore in phases. It competes with other fitness band players like FitBit, Nike,  Samsung’s Galaxy Gear Fit, Sony and others. Last week, Aircel and Snapdeal joined hands to offer 3GB of free 3G data to customers who are buying a data-enabled phone through the portal.
