Lets get into it. What is a palimpsest?
Self proclaimed “Biblical archaeologists” on Beforeitsnews must not know, because they claim that this Hieroglyph (below) depicts an ancient helicopter…

A great deal of attention is given to the engravings in the temple of Seti I, at Abydoss, Egypt.
Their apparent similarity to modern vehicles is impelling, but it has now been reasonably demonstrated that they are the product of two sets of hieroglyphs, one superimposed over another… and however unusual that may seem, the idea seems borne out by looking further along the beam… (note the Ankh in the central image).
So, what we see is a palimpsest, something that never was intended to be seen like it is now. It used to be that only one set of hieroglyphs had been visible, first one then the other. Then the plaster fell out of the stone.
So before you believe the “biblical archaeologist” who follows the Pseudo-researcher Brien Foerster like a lap-dog, stay tuned to my articles as I expose “their” fallacies.

As all middle eastern religions are simply modified versions of the more ancient & complete stories found in the Sumerian Tablets which clearly state that ancient man had these technologies and much more long before the Pyramids were built but actually tells who built them….

I’m not taking the side of religious people but it is a proven fact that scientists and archaeologists have lied and deceived us for a long time now by not giving us facts because you see they work for a government somewhere in the world and they can’t do any of their work unless they have a government grant , so of course they are going to give us only the info the governments want us to have.
By the way that looks like a plane not a helicopter.
Did you know that early in the twentieth century an explorer for the Smithsonian Institute found a cave in the Grand Canyon that had several rooms in it that were full of Egyptian artifacts and do you know what the Smithsonian did with those artifacts? they tucked them away in the deepest darkest bowels of their cellars and never told anyone about these amazing artifacts.
Now ask yourself why they did that? Do they not want us to know about our history? I don’t know, instead of trying to debunk some christian view of hieroglyphs why don’t you do some real investigation into them? I know, why don’t you ask any and all of the guests on the Ancient Alien show because they have the same opinion of these hieroglyphs and I’m pretty sure NONE of them have ever proclaimed to be an “Biblical Archaeologist”.

You laid claim that there was a “Plaster Overlay” yet you can’t figure out that a Lab can in fact find “trace” amounts of said overlay if in fact what you have stated was true.
Based on solid evidence, rather than speculations of what is no different that the fact that some lay claim to it being a “Helicopter.” Thus your no different than they are.
Obviously you have little to no experience with any platforms of science nor what results would unfold in a court room.

Perhaps you would kick things off by answering cosmic’s question and present the line of cuneiform, from the clay tablets, that mentions this helicopter.
And if you do that intelligently we might eventually get to discuss Lizard people who navigate the universe by flying around on a planetoid.

I get it now. The same Egyptians who built the pyramids could not write out a simple set of hieroglyphs without making a dozen major errors. Do you think this was such a rush job that the builders would accept shoddy workmanship?
That’s one way to put it, Patrick, and here is an alternative theory. The sandstone hieroglyph was first carved during the reign of king Seti and then carved anew by Ramesses with a different message.
Then there’s erosion to take into account as well as the possibility of modern tampering. It’s sandstone, after all, and I could change it drastically in ten minutes with a pocket knife.

Ask any Egyptologist. The Abidos Glyph is a product of what is known as “erasure.”
Erasure is when a successive pharaoh literally scraped off the name or deeds of his predecessor, replacing the scraped off inscription with his own name, message or deeds.
You can find this on nearly every dynastic monument and temple across Egypt.
After the passage of millennia, even newer inscriptions erode away, and in many cases the erosion reveals portions of the under-inscription.
This is precisely what has happened at Abidos on the lintel piece. You aren’t seeing helicopters, airplanes or flying saucers. What you are seeing is the erosion of three different layers of inscription that were place on top of the other after the previous inscription was “erased.”
I hate to burst anyone’s bubble, but there are no inscriptions at Abidos of ancient technology such as helicopters. And there definitely is no insidious conspiracy to cover anything up. The only “cover-up” was when one pharaoh covered up the previous pharaoh’s inscription.
Thanks to erasure and erosion, we have what LOOKS LIKE an ancient helicopter and plane.

I have watched alot of Brien Foerster videos, they make Archeology much more interesting. Of course we all know they are Speculation like the old tv show “In Search Of” with Leonard Nimoy as Host. Also the show “Ancient Aliens” , Speculation, but because of that show, I have looked up all kinds of Archeology.
Debunkers make Archeology as Boring as possible. And I learn nothing from them.

My father has a masters in fine art and taught at the UofI for 35 yrs and he also had a very,very successful career in art for many years and is in museums all over the world(so keep the “those that can’t do teach” stuff to yourselves) and has studied this hieroglyph. AND it has all been carved on the same plain. which is proof that it is the shape it was intented. Plus it was covered over in the early 1950′s when they noticed what it was. As almost all OOPARTS which stands for (Out Of Place ARTifacts) are hidden by almost all museums. Peace.
