I tend to think the Windows logo is a stylised Hakenkreuz (Swastika).
If you rearrange the letters in “Cortana” it’s “A Cantor.” Cantor is a mathematical and statistical program made by KDE software, which also makes a game based on word anagrams. “Kde” also means “where.”
When I bought my latest laptop about a year ago, Dell told me they couldn’t install XP Professional on it but only windows 8. If I ever have to use that thing more frequently I will DOWNGRADE it to Windows XP Professional just like I have on my main machine, or just switch completely to Linux. If Windows 10 is anything like 8 I don’t want it, and given that it’s basically a totalitarian operating system I definitely don’t want it. No wonder it’s free to upgrade even from an illegal version of Windows 8. Microsoft and the US government are buddy-buddy and I’m almost surprised thy don’t want a blood sample or a DNA sample to activate it.
Oh, and don’t forget that ALL our banknotes have windows on their front side, and bridges on the back side. The windows are supposed to symbolise openness, and the bridges are supposed to symbolise our interconnectedness.
Besides the fact that Windows 8 does NOT offer any improvements in functionality vis-a-vis Windows XP, I can’t understand why the user interface has to be so radically different and difficult. If it ain’t broken, don’t fix is, or to quote myself: “nunquam felis mortua in arbore videtur.”

You’re right, I forgot to mention it’s Czech. Also forgot to mention that the banknotes I’m referring to are Euros.
Yeah, it’s a big move to switch to Linux, and I’m going to have to install it on another machine and play around with it before I take the plunge. Most of my family & friends have, in fact gone over to Ubuntu Linux and they all say the same thing you do.
In my case it’s only a question of time because the highest version of Firefox I can install on an XP Professional Service Pack 3 running machine is 39.0 and already I’m having problems with functionality on a couple of websites.
If you’re gonna switch to Linux Ubuntu is the one you don’t want to use. Canonical doesn’t abide by licenses of software they use. And try to put their own license on top of it. The oldest and best distro to use is Slackware. Slackware has no big company behind it. And thus isn’t forced to do anything.
Your internet provider is obliged to save data. So it doesn’t matter what OS you use.
Wow, you prop-up Slackware and offer fear-mongering over ISPs seeing your data? You talk like an NSA troll. Ubuntu is a solid long-term (5-year) OS, and ISPs can only see data you send and receive over the internet. ISPs cannot come into your computer to check your files or software. If you are with an ISP that has given themselves that ability, and you signed a contract on it, then maybe you need to read the fine print better next time. My ISP clearly states that their concern ends at the incoming side of my firewall-router.

Right on. There’s a reason they’re giving ‘free upgrades’ to Windows 10 to users of earlier versions. This thing is sure to have more snoopware than ever before not even considering all the backdoors built right in at the hardware level on equipment these days.
They’ve been able to do this since at least Windows XP. You know all those “security updates” you get every tuesday? How easy would it be to sneak this in in one of those updates? Windows 10 is just another Windows operating system, not the first spying one.

Isnt Google spying on us too ?! Skype and phone calls are recorded . Even we can be tracked by processor s number , as far as I know . Possibility not always means reality . I am not going to install Cortana .

Fantastic can’t wait till its released sounds great, I love the NWO, I look at me and I can travel from Central Scotland to Central England in 3 hours where it took Queen Victoria 2 days, I have more comfort better heating better travel than Royalty did 100 years agom, I can travel to Europe in 2 hours, I can get all the entertainment I want at the push of a button, I ordered my shopping today it gets delivered to morrow at 11am. I can contact my kids and see them where ever they are in the World.

Does anybody seriously think it makes any difference what OS they put their faith in? You know deep down that they’ve got you whatever you do – it’s a web and they’re the spider in the middle. When it comes to it they’ll just take down the entire system and you’ll be deaf, dumb and blind.

I don’t care how many upgrades Gates makes. I will keep using XP until the day I die. It is NOT a souped up mess like ANY windows version. They shot themselves in the foot when they abandoned XP. I bought a laptop that already had W7 on it and after using it for 1/2 hour I just deleted that O/S and put XP in it’s place and have NEVER had the desire to upgrade…. to what? A freaking convoluted mess that takes three to five times longer to do what I can do with one step in XP.
