Addicted To Retail (ATR) presents: Nike Brand Experience Alto Palermo Mall in Buenos Aires.

Worldwide, Argentina is known for its diverse, vibrant culture and its passionate sports fans. The second largest country in Latin America, which is home to more than 40 million people, boasts a rich history of success on the global sports stage, fueled by supporters’ fervor. To invigorate this passion and expand the nation’s athletic potential, Nike is opening the country’s first brand experience door in Buenos Aires, the Argentine capital.

“Nike Buenos Aires honors our long-standing commitment to transform Argentinians’ passion for sport into elite experiences and connect with them in a very personal way,” says Ariel Correa, Senior Retail Director of Nike Southern Cone.

Focused on women, who make up more than half of Argentina’s population, the 1,400-square-meter store gives consumers an all-access pass to the world of Nike performance products — from women’s training, running and football to rugby, Nike Sportswear and Nike SB. The store will also provide consumers access to premium Nike services including, run analysis, bra fitting, pant hemming and football jersey customization.

Located in the central district of Alto Palermo, the store will serve as a connection point for athletes via weekly Nike+ Run Club and Nike+ Training Club experiences. “Sport is as much about the individual as the team and Nike Buenos Aires will serve as the hub to foster this community of athletes and runners,” says NRC Coach Santiago Chao.

The design of Nike Buenos Aires features an original mural by local artist Fio Silva. Known for creating art works that depict movement and strength, the 18-by-8-foot mural adds energy to the space. Additionally, the store’s build incorporates sustainable materials in keeping with Nike’s focus on reducing its environmental footprint.

Nike Buenos Aires opens to the public at 10am ART, Saturday, October 3.
