Are kinds real or our invention?

The fundamental question is: are kinds real or our invention?

The problem with this question is that if kinds are real, then logical reasoning ends in paradox (like “Higgs particle” and “the tree of life”), whereas if kinds aren’t real, then logical reasoning ends in an ambiguity. The former paradox actually being the same thing as the latter ambiguity, only viewed in the orthogonal aspect.

The fundamental problem is thus that we can’t find the answer to this fundamental question, since the two possible answers are either the contradictory or the ambiguous aspect of the same thing. The answer to the question is thus hidden between the two possible answers to it.

The answer to the question is thus: it depends on which of the two aspects you choose, but that it is fundamentally the same answer in two two different aspects. Our problem is thus that we can’t discard any of the two aspects, because both of them nail the same answer – yes, kinds are both real and not real at the same time.
