All you need to know about the upcoming OnePlus 3
As we all know, OnePlus will most probably be announcing its fourth smartphone, the OnePlus 3, this year. There have been a number of rumors about the device floating around already, and the company is expected to launch the OnePlus 3 in June 2016. There has been some solid demand for the OnePlus One and the OnePlus 2, both of which offered solid design mixed with some solid hardware.
Specifications and prices of the OnePlus 3 were leaked earlier, which tells us that device could be priced at $348. An image of the OnePlus 3 was leaked as well, which showcased the design of the device that looked like a combination of the HTC One M9 and the Meizu Pro 6.
The latest information about the OnePlus flagship came via the noted leaker, Evan Blass, who revealed a screenshot of the upcoming device along with a few specs details as well.
The OnePlus 3 is seen running on an Android N preview build in the new leaked screenshot. The model number is RAIN A3000, the same model that we saw on Geekbench few days back. The phone seems to be running Oxygen v3.1.0 along with the kernel version 3.10.84. This is clearly a preview build running on the new handset, but expect Android Marshmallow out of the box when the phone gets released.
According to the leaked information, the OnePlus 3 will sport a 5.5-inch full HD (1920 x 1080) display just like its predecessor. The device will be backed by the Snapdragon 820 64-bit quad-core SoC. OnePlus will also be giving away free 30,000 OnePlus Loop VR Headsets to its fans this year. The company has partnered with Ant VR to make this headset, which is much more sturdy and durable than the cardboard ones sent last year. Also OnePlus 2 was revealed during a VR launch last year. The OnePlus 3 is rumored to be priced at CNY 1,999 ($307 ) for the 4GB RAM variant and 32GB storage variant and CNY 2,499 ($384) for the 6GB RAM with 64GB storage variant.
