Samsung Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 offically announced in China
Samsung Galaxy C5 and Galaxy C7 have already been leaked multiple times, but a report suggested that these handsets may not be as cheap as previously expected after all. Both smartphones were supposed to be launched in China, at least initially, which turned true. Samsung has been maintaining its A and C series with some great specifications to compete with other manufacturers.
Today, Samsung has announced the Galaxy C5 and the Galaxy C7, the company’s latest smartphones in China. The Galaxy C5 features a 5.2-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Snapdragon 617 SoC, and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It sports a 16-megapixel rear-facing camera with ƒ/1.9 aperture, LED flash and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It also comes with a fingerprint sensor hidden inside the home button.
The Galaxy C5 is a dual-SIM smartphone, and it’s a hybrid SIM slot, so you can fit a microSD instead of the secondary SIM. Additional connectivity features includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC (with Samsung Pay support).
Along with the Galaxy C5, Samsung has also announced the Galaxy C7. It features a 5.7-inch 1080p Super AMOLED display, an octa-core Snapdragon 625 SoC, and runs on Android 6.0.1 (Marshmallow). It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with ƒ/1.9 aperture, LED flash, and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. Similar to the Galaxy C5 and other recently released mid-range and high-end smartphones from Samsung, the Galaxy C7 also features a fingerprint sensor.
The Galaxy C5 comes in Gold, Pink Gold, Silver and Grey, and is priced at CNY 2,199 ($335) for the 32GB version and CNY 2,399 ($366) for the 64GB version. The Samsung Galaxy C7 comes in same colors, and is priced at CNY 2,599 ($396) for the 32GB version and CNY 2,799 ($427) for the 64GB version.
