October 4th Google Event Preview and The New Hardware Coming Our Way

A whole slew of Devices from Google are being released tomorrow and we have the low down, on what’s coming up, in the big drop.

Lets start with the blunderful leak and device preview Walmart gave us today when it accidentally released the item page for the new Google Home Mini, it looks to be a 4″, Puck style, Google Assistant device with a sale price of just $49 dollars. According to the page though, if you purchase it through the Google Express payment serivce, you get $25 dollars off meaning you can have Google add Pink Fuzzy Bunny Slippers to your Google Keep shopping list for only $24 bucks. The site also points toward a Oct 13 shipdate.

There are also rumors of a Google Home Max device that may be launching as well but details are so scarce that they cannot be confirmed. As to what the device is, we can speculate to say it’s going to be a direct competitor for Apple’s new HomePod. Details do point to release before the end of the ear for both devices, so to release it tomorrow, and be ahead of the curve, would make sense.

The Google Pixel 2 and Pixel 2XL also will be anounced they are the new pair of Google flagship hard ware made by HTC and LG respectively.

The Pixel 2 will have a 5″ screen with a 1920×1080 screen resolution while the XL variant will feature a 6″ screen with smaller bezzle and QHD resolution. Both are expected to run Android Oreo out of the box and have a Snapdragon 835 CPU with 4Gb of RAM. It will have your expected 12MP Camera, and work on Verizon’s LTEPlus network. all the hardware is set in a metal frame with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on the front.

The next big device is a new Daydream VR headset not many detail are available other than to say the devices will come cloth wrapped with multiple colors available and feature a control device similar to the recent iteration of the Gear VR by Samsung.

We will also see the flagship of the newest line of Google made Chromebooks with the Pixel book. Roumors give it a $1000usd pricetag with a stylus pen device available for an additional $99. Obviously not aimed at your average consumers, the Pixel book is bound to be a great tool for developers looking to expand upon the Chrome platform.
