Samsung has officially launched its mid-range smartphone, the Galaxy J7 Duo in India today. The handset was already listed on Samsung India’s official website yesterday, leaving the price details of the same unknown. In short, this new offering by Samsung comes with a 5.5-inch display, 4GB of RAM, and it runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Let’s check the pricing and availability of the smartphone:

The Galaxy J7 Duo comes in Black and Gold colour options. It is priced at around Rs. 16,990 ($260), and will go on sale in India across retail stores starting from April 12th, 2018 i.e tomorrow. The J7 Duo will compete with the likes of the Moto G5S, and Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro in India which comes in the similar price range.

The Galaxy J7 Du0 sports a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED 2.5D curved glass display, offering a HD 1280 x 720 pixels resolution. Inside the J7 Duo uses 1.6GHz octa-core Exynos 7 Series processor, and packs 4GB of RAM. It has 32GB internal storage, and an option of expandable memory as well up to 256GB via micro SD card slot. On the software front, the device runs Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box with Samsung’s customised Experience 9.0 user interface.
In terms of imaging, there’s a dual cameras setup at the rear which consists of 13-megapixel primary and 5-megapixel secondary sensor. At the front, the selfie department is handled by an 8-megapixel camera that has f/1.9 aperture lens. The selfie shooter is also accompanied by a LED flash. Connectivity-wise, the Galaxy J7 Duo supports dual-SIM, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, and has a 3.5mm audio port. Last but not least, the whole package is powered by a 3000mAh battery.
