Tesla AI Day Event Happened on 19 August 2021 - A Robot Reveal

Turns out all the locational and spacial data Tesla has been acquiring for their self-driving vehicles can and will be used for another purpose. A Tesla robot carrying the working name Optimus Prime*.

Tesla held an AI Day event on 19 August 2021 at their headquarters in Palo Alto, California. The invitation indicated a keynote address by Tesla CEO Elon Musk, hardware and software demonstrations from Tesla engineers and test rides in the Model S Plaid were all on the program. In tweets about the event, Elon Musk stated the “sole goal” of the event was to lure experts in the field of robotics and artificial intelligence to come work at Tesla.
