Bemalambda enters the LRT. Was this a second or a third radiation of placentals derived from mouse-sized Monodelphis after the asteroid impact?

Shortly after the end-Cretaceous event,
some mammals continued unchanged. Others changed. Some got bigger. Bemalambda (Figs 1, 2), a traditional pantodont, enters the large reptile tree (LRT, 2199 taxa) in the Pantolambda clade. In the LRT Pantolambda is derived from mouse-like Monodelphis domestica, an extant marsupial without a pouch nesting in the transition from marsupial to placental. So, Bemalambdae was probably also transitional, a marsupial without a pouch.

Bemalambda nanhsiungensis
(Chow et al 1973; Li 2005; early to middle Paleocene 60mya, China, 1m in length) was originally considered a pantodont. Here it is a marsupial close to placentals, closer to Monodelphis, only much larger. Also close to
Alcidedorbignya and Pantolambda. Note the clavicles. The lower canine is larger than the upper. Seems to be an herbivore with those hooves and small posterior dentition.

According to the present fossil record
placentals had at least two origins, both from mousey Monodelphis. One: sometime in the Jurassic giving rise to Jurassic arboreal taxa like
multituberculates and Maiopatagium and all transitional taxa between these nodes. Two: after the asteroid, giving rise to Paleocene terrestrial taxa like all descendants of Vulpavus. Maybe three: Bemalambda and Pantolambda. No extant examples of this clade are known to check their soft tissues.
