The image shows kamacite, a-(Fe,Ni), crossed by numerous twins (Neumann bands) that form during the shock loading of the collision events. These events deform the ductile matrix such that local lattice rotations can exceed ten degrees around brittle precipitates like schreibersite, (Fe,Ni)3P, cf. figure 2.”

White circles mark tubular wood cell remains found in an iron/nickel meteorite.  The wood cells did not originate from Earth or outside our  solar system. The wood cells originated from Mars.
