NASA’s description: Using an onboard focusing process, the Mars Hand Lens Imager (MAHLI) aboard NASA’s Mars rover Curiosity created this product by merging two to eight images previously taken by the MAHLI, located on the turret at the end of the rover’s robotic arm. Curiosity performed the merge on May 10, 2024, Sol 4180 of the Mars Science Laboratory Mission, at 03:06:32 UTC. The focus motor count position was 12868. This number indicates the lens position of the first image that was merged….

Martian wood cell remains are in the upper left corner of the above figure. The fine lines there are threads made of remains of many wood cells, which are marked with red arrows and red lines.
