YouTube Music’s playback controls could soon feel more lively

- YouTube Music is working on new animations for playback controls like play, pause, shuffle, repeat, and more.
- The app currently shows static icons for these playback buttons, making this a significant visual overhaul if implemented.
- We’re also seeing animated icons for tools like the sleep timer, which currently lives in the three-dot menu.
We recently reported on a revamped YouTube Music album and playlist interface that gives more prominence to the album artwork, while reorganizing the action bar buttons. But that may not be the extent of the changes coming to the app, as YouTube Music is now prepping a visual overhaul of playback controls in the Now Playing interface.
