Wednesday 30th October 13

A mixed day, starting off reasonably well. 

I had a GP appointment at 11, and got there on time and explained about my cough which seemingly just won’t go away. The Doc was very nice and understanding, and we talked around a fair few things and he listened to my chest.  There was nothing that obvious, so he gave me an X-ray appointment sheet.

I cycled on to Cycle Heaven so Ash could see how my trailer pulls my bike over, and he reckons that he’ll be able to fit a kick stand on the trailer to support it when I’m loading it.

I came home and waited for Sarah to come and pick up some chestnuts and walnuts.  It was good to see her again, and we had some nice chats.

I had lunch, and then did some work in the garden, including moving some logs from the side passageway where they’ve been drying for a while to the front door area where they’ll sit for a short time before being used.

It was whilst I was doing this that I turned on my right ankle AGAIN and I immediately knew I’d sprained it or worse. I finished off what I was doing and put my bike and trailer away, and came in.  Gill got the inflatable ‘pot’ down from the loft and I had a fairly painful and still evening. I wasn’t doing anything weird or unusual, just walking on flat ground. What a nuisance.

So, tomorrow I might go and get it X-rayed… that and my chest.  It’s unlike me to be unwell for so long. I’m definitely feeling ‘under the weather’.
