We have Ebola and Enterovirus 68 wreaking havoc!
Pretty sure everyone has heard about Ebola and Enterovirus 68 running around the US. I was reading about the CDC involvement and I have to be honest. If someone from the government is talking I have serious concerns that they are lying. I see these people talking and I am reminded of President Reagan’s famous nine words.
Do not despair citizens of the United States. The CDC and the President have this handled. Despite assuring people that major hospitals could handle an outbreak the infected people are flying on airplanes. At least the last plane trip the second nurse to contract Ebola took a charter flight in a containment suit to Atlanta.
The nine most terrifying words in the English language are, ‘I’m from the government and I’m here to help.’
Now think about the reason why they had to fly the nurse from Texas to Atlanta. Could they not handle a second nurse in Texas with Ebola? You can bet they are not going to tell us.
The reality is that no matter what the government says or who is in charge there are huge honesty questions. The reality is that if you rely on the government to keep you safe or fed you are in trouble. We are in scan mode but we have been making plans to quarantine goods that come in. There may come a time soon when Ebola and Enterovirus 68 requires us to shelter in place. Are you ready if the need arises?
