River Fishin'

This weekend we took a much needed trip to the mountains. Caleb was so excited to go fishing. We’ve always taken him to the trout pond and have been waiting for him to be old enough to fish the river. I actually love to fish for trout, but I have not been in years because Caleb has been so small.

Early Saturday morning we caught up with my dad so we could go river fishing.

Seeing three of my favorite guys fishing on the river was just so awesome to me.

My grandfather fished the river with my dad, my dad raised me to fish it, Ryan and I spent our honeymoon fishing the same river, and now we are raising Caleb on it.

Caleb was so proud of himself! He caught his first limit of trout this weekend. That boy was covered in fish blood and slime.

We joke about it a lot, but Caleb was truly born country. There was never any doubt that he’d love fishing, hunting and being outdoors. There were times in my life I denied that part of myself, but Caleb has always embraced it and I love that about him.
