SCENARIO:   You’re currently totally focused on your present day-to-day life (job, family, planning your next vacation, etc…)  At this level there currently isn’t an imminent threat of any incoming extraterrestrial object heading in our general direction.  That being said…   This scenario could very well be on the verge of changing a lot of people’s lives right now and with little to no warning from any government agency or our various media outlets.

PREPPERZONE SUGGESTION:  So it’s always best to begin with the basic prepper items in the event that there will be a complete shutdown of your local infrastructures for quite some time.  Having plenty of water and food on hand with the abilities for replenishing each is paramount for any prepping situation.  Therefore, growing a garden and raising your own livestock is a well advised options.  However, not everyone lives on 100 acre farms.  So gathering and canning produce is a great way of preparing for an impact.  You’ll also need a way of storing large amounts of water as well as having a filtration system on hand.  Other items to begin gathering would be: medical supplies, HAM radio, and other electronical devices (including self & solar powered). BUG-IN PLAN:  You and your family have decided that the best plan of action (in the event of an impact) is to remain at your home.  Depending on the impact level, this is a good strategy if you can utilize it.  Hopefully, you’ll have some sort of bunker system in the event you need to retreat to a more fortified location.  If you don’t currently have such a structure you may want to begin researching the various options out there and choose the one which you feel best meets your needs and budget.

BUG-OUT PLAN:  If you live in an area (such as heavily populated urban city) the best strategy is probably bugging out in order to distance you and your family from any potential societal breakdowns following an impact.  Your first step should be to identified a bug-out location (preferable secluded and well away from other individuals).  You should begin conducting practice bug-outs to this location so you’re able to identify items which you may still need to acquire – or even leave behind.  Some items you’ll need to have with you are: bug-out bag, medical supplies, food and water.  In order to make your escape to your bug-out location quicker and smoother you may want to stock up the majority of your supplies at your destination’s location.  This all depends though on the individual situation which you’re facing.  In the event of our government declaring Marshall Law (post-impact), you should have several optional routes and methods for reaching your location.  You may also want to begin researching the investment of some sort of bunker system installed at this location which would be able to protect you and your family from multiple types of disasters as well as the fallout from such events.

SCENARIO:  You and your wife just got done with a busy work week.  Instead of heading out on the town you both decide to get some take-out Chinese, enjoy a bottle of wine, and watch a movie together.  You’ve lowered the lights and just settled into your spots on the couch and just started the movie.  Suddenly, you see a bright light coming from the direction over your shoulder and it gets so bright that it actually lights up the room.  You look out the window to see a bright streak in the sky and at the same time hear a big “BANG” as the inbound object breaks the sound barrier.  Suddenly, the sound of an explosion takes place and your window is shattered.  Glass rains down upon you and your wife.  The meteor (measuring about 60 feet) has just exploded over your city and there are thousands of people affected by the blast.

PREPPERZONE SUGGESTION:   An incoming space object such as this could come in with little to no warning.  The only protection you could have from such an event is if you had installed shatter-proofed glass throughout your home.  The window implosion would most likely cause lacerations on you and your spouse.  You should have a first aid kit on hand and be familiar with its contents as well as how to treat individuals for certain injuries.  Practicing such scenarios can help you become a clearer thinker during such an event.  By practicing, you’ll know where items (like your first aid kits) are located.  You’ll also be able to evaluate and react much quicker so you can begin treating those in need.

BUG-IN PLAN:   During such an event the public would most likely turn to panic quite quickly.  As quickly as you can try to secure your location and begin monitoring the various local media channels (TV, local radio, and HAM Radio) in order to stay informed as developments begin to unfold. You should secure your home first though and not leave any blown-out window(s) wide open.  If you have a piece of plywood you can cover the opening and place a 2×4 across the window pane on the inside of your home.  You can then use a large bolt to secure the plywood to the 2×4 and thus creating a strong barrier over the opening.

BUG-OUT PLAN:  You should only leave your current location only when you have ensured both of you are in a condition that does not inhibit the execution of your bug-out plan.  You should secure your home first though and not leave a blown-out window(s) wide open.  If you have a piece of plywood you can cover the opening and place a 2×4 across the window pane on the inside of your home.  You can then use a large bolt to secure the plywood to the 2×4 and thus creating a strong barrier over the opening.  Once you have secured your location your should being to execute your bug-out plan.  Prior to an event, ensure that you have plotted out several routes to reach your bug-out location.  You may not be fully aware of the local damage caused by the explosion so listen to your various media outlets in order to choose the best route for you to reach your location.  Upon reaching your location first ensure that your site is secure before establishing your living areas.  How long you remain at your bug-out location can be determined by several factors – such as whether any basic infrastructure systems were compromised during the event.

SCENARIO:  You and your wife are attending your child’s little league baseball game.  As the game is going on you notice something in the distance which at first looks like an airplane creating a huge contrail.  It’s speed is traveling much too fast though for it to be an aircraft.  It streaks over the baseball field and across the sky and out of view.  As it travels by the object breaks the sound barrier and the crowd hears the telltale sounds of a series of bangs.  Everyone is shocked at what they have just seen.  But the game goes on….  About an hour later you and your family are on you’re way home and are listening to the radio talking about the game and the great plays he made.  Suddenly, an emergency broadcast alert breaks into the program and announces that several meteors have now impacted throughout the U.S and people are advised to take shelter immediately because they believe there are still more impacts left to come.

PREPPERZONE SUGGESTION:  It’s impossible to predict where or when an impact will occur.  The best you can hope for is to be not in the area of one when it does.  The best way you can prepare is by getting ready for any fallout (infrastructure or societal) caused by such an event.

BUG-IN PLAN:  By retreating to your home you’re able to immediately begin addressing any infrastructure or societal breakdowns.  for instance, if your power is lost you can engage your backup generator.  Stay tuned to the various media outlets (i.e. TV, internet, HAM radio, etc…) in order to stay as informed as you possibly can.  Take any necessary action which is appropriate for your situation and ensure the safety of you and your family in the process.  Know your plan and stick to your plan the best you can.

BUG-OUT PLAN:  You believe that the effects of the multiple impacts are going to have a major impact on the infrastructure in your area.  Getting out of your area in order to ensure that you avoid any after effects is now paramount.  Execute your bug-out plan and keep track of events as they unfold in your area via the various media outlets (i.e. radio, HAM radio, etc…).  Use your alternative routes in case your original plan is somehow compromised.  Once you’ve reached your bug-out location first secure your site before you begin setting up your living areas.

SCENARIO:   You are stuck in traffic on your daily commute.  You are simply inching along listening to the radio and getting caught up on the latest news of the day.  Suddenly, they break the normal segment with an emergency broadcast message.  An impact has just occurred in Mexico and Mexico City has been devastated.  The impact was created by an asteroid measuring about 1,500 feet.  They’re warning about the debris which was thrust into the atmosphere and will begin raining back down on the entire continent.  The announcement is warning of the potential of multiple other impacts caused by some of the larger material as well as fire being generated as the objects reenter and ignite.  The images of fire and brimstone quickly enter into your mind.

PREPPERZONE SUGGESTION:  You should store bug-out bag in your vehicle in the event of something major happening you are already mobile and can quickly and easily begin executing your bug-out plan.  Your first priority is seeking some sort of shelter underground somewhere and getting away from any of the falling debris.  However, you should be aware that if you were in an area like an underground parking deck that you your only exit could potentially be hit and destroyed.  At this point you’d basically be buried alive.  So choose your underground option carefully and weigh the risks before making a call one way or another.

BUG-IN PLAN:  In such a scenario it would only be practical to bug-in if you’re not far from your home and you have the ability to retreat to a location underground (such a in an underground shelter or bunker).  You’ll want to get into your underground safety location as quickly as possible.  Understand that your location may receive a direct hit and that your home may be destroyed either by an impact of by a fire.

BUG-OUT PLAN:  While this may be a good option (due to the impending fallout of all the basic infrastructures being compromised and offline for an extended period of time) you will have to endure a gauntlet of dangers and hazards as you make your way.  The first obstacle you’ll have to overcome is the traffic you’re currently stuck in.  Understand that panic is about to spread like a wildfire throughout the other drivers around you.  Do your best to get away from them as quickly as safely as possible.  You should have plotted out multiple routes to your bug-out location and you will most likely need to resort to them.  The main thing you need to do is to keep moving.  Once you arrive at your location get underground as quickly as you can in order to wait out the debris rainstorm and wildfires which are taking place outside.

SCENARIO:  You’re going about your normal day when your phone rings.  Your spouse is on the other end telling you to check out the news taking place at this time.  You can hear the panic in their voice as they begin to cry.  You try to calm them while your browser brings up the headline – Earth’s Extinction Imminent.  You read a short few lines that say an asteroid was just detected which is on a direct path for earth.  This is not a small object that will burn up in the atmosphere.  This asteroid is about 6 miles long and will make no difference if it’s impact is on land or sea.  This is our worst nightmare hurling through space with our planet as its target.

PREPPERZONE SUGGESTION:  If such a nightmare scenario were ever to become true the best thing for you to do is to be prepared for the societal breakdown which is about to occur.  Your first priority should be for the safety and protection of your family against others as lawlessness begins to spill into the streets and lay havoc in it’s wake.  While there is even the slightest chance that the asteroid could change its course you still need to be prepared – and begin praying.

BUG-IN PLAN:  By retreating to your home you’re able to immediately begin addressing any  societal breakdowns which are certain to begin occurring.  Stay tuned to the various media outlets (i.e. TV, internet, HAM radio, etc…) in order to stay as informed as you possibly can.  Take any necessary action which is appropriate for your situation and ensure the safety of you and your family in the process.  Know your plan and stick to your plan the best you can.  Spend this time with your family to cherish each and everyone one of them.

BUG-OUT PLAN:  In order to avoid all the conflict which is going to take place you have decided to remove yourself and your family to a location which is much safer and secluded.  Initiate your bug-out plan.  Be aware that if you have to travel for a long distance (depending on the estimation of when the impact will occur) you may not be able to make it.  Also understand that there will be total panic taking place.  Gas stations will be shut down and car left abandoned on the streets.  People may even try to take your vehicle from you as you drive by.  As safely as you can keep moving and don’t stop (unless you have to) until you reach your bug-out location.  This impact is believed to be such that it would make no difference of the location (above or below ground) with such an impact.  The very ground itself will be stripped away and what is left will be burnt in the inferno which would envelop the planet.  You have planned for the worst – and this is it.
