I made my first blog post and uploaded my first YouTube video 6 years ago in 2012. I began YouTube before anyone got famous from it and before people started making millions off their YouTube ventures (boy, how times have changed). The “back to the land” movement was just taking off and I started my blog to share our own adventure in self-sufficient living. But life got in the way and I stopped making content for quite a few years. Even though I took a long break I never deleted my blog or channel and I never stopped thinking about them. I stopped writing and making videos because I didn’t have a clear ‘why’ as to what I was doing. And, I am not an expert in self-sufficiency or homesteading. Writing blog posts worth reading and editing videos take a LOT of time and I couldn’t keep doing it not knowing WHY I was doing it.
