To Reward Yourself for Studying Hard
When was the last time you’ve studied for an exam effortlessly, without having to put up a fight to get rid of all the distractions throwing you off the schedule? Did you do something in particular to reward yourself for the hard work and good results that came with it in the end? If you have never used a reward system connected to your studying efforts before, it is high time you learned more about how they work and how to create them.
Today we are going to introduce to you a few cool reward ideas that you should keep in mind and use next time you are proud of your academic accomplishments.
Eat Your Favorite Food
This is probably one of the most common types of rewards that most people use when they wish to congratulate themselves on their hard work or feel rewarded for their efforts. Just think of the happiness that a dog feels when being handed his favorite treat after listening to all of his master’s commands! Eating your favorite sushi, pizza, lasagna, or a fancier meal (maybe at your favorite restaurant in town) will trigger similar feelings of content and happiness in you.
Needless to say, you could also reward yourself with less fancy food; if you love fast food that is incredibly bad for your silhouette, but it also happens to be on top of our list of favorite foods, go for it. Spoil yourself with some Taco Bell or Wendy’s delights for the night and eat something you would not ordinarily order as a reward for studying hard and passing a difficult exam. You will associate the satisfaction associated with the reward with the need to study equally hard for your next exams and eventually have an easier time finding the motivation to stay focused.
Plan a Fun Night Out and About
Grab your significant other or a bunch of your close friends and hang out someplace fun. Go see a movie, grab some Coronas and go at the beach on a starry night, light up a campfire, go clubbing, or plan a fun night watching bad movies and board games. As long as it’s something you enjoy doing, don’t hesitate to let your hair down and leave the stress of your future exams behind for a few hours – you deserve it after studying hard!
Hire Professional Cleaners
If your uni house usually looks like a hot mess at the end of the exams, your reward at the end of the session could be hiring a professional NYC carpet cleaning service that can make your place look sparkling clean once again. You owe it to yourself to relax and leave the deep cleaning to the hands of pros who know exactly what they are doing. The good news is there are lots of cleaners who are happy to offer cool discounts to students based on solely their student ID, so make sure you leave the cleaning or carpet dyeing to them and take advantage of the extra spare time to go do something fun or just sleep and recover after many sleepless nights spent studying.
Download a New Game
If you are a passionate gamer, look for a fresh title you would like to download to your phone, tablet, or computer, whether it is a game of Tetris Blitz or the latest shooter. No one is going to judge! Choose something you know will keep you entertained and make you happy and let it be your reward for studying so hard.
