On Dec. 1, a camera onboard NASA’s STEREO spacecraft recorded a wave of electrically charged material shooting out from the sun and blasting Mercury. Footage of this “coronal mass ejection” (CME), as such events are called, has caught the attention of alien-hunters, who say it has unveiled a giant, “cloaked” spaceship parked near the solar system’s innermost planet.
In the footage, one sees a huge spurt of plasma and other solar ejecta washing over Mercury; peculiarly, the material seems to flare up as it hits another nearby object, too. “It’s cylindrical on either side and has a shape in the middle. It definitely looks like a ship to me, and very obviously, it’s cloaked,” YouTube-user siniXster said in his video commentary on the footage, which has quickly spread across the Web.
The commentator says there’s “absolutely no explanation” for the nearly Mercury-size mystery object other than that it’s a spaceship. “What object in space cloaks itself and doesn’t appear until it gets hit by energy from the sun?” siniXster asked.
The question was meant rhetorically, but nonetheless, the video is curious, so we’ve put it to scientists in the solar physics branch at the United States Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) — the group that analyzes data from the Heliospheric Imager-1 (HI-1), the telescopic camera that shot the new footage.
As you might suspect, there is a non-UFO explanation of the apparent flare-up near Mercury. According to Russ Howard, head scientist of the NRL group, and Nathan Rich, lead ground systems engineer, it is simply an artifact left over from the way raw HI-1 telescope data gets processed. Rather than a UFO mothership parked near Mercury, the bright spot is “where the planet was on the previous day,” Rich told Life’s Little Mysteries. [A History of Recent UFO 'Sightings']

A CME of that size hitting anything is not simply going to pass around the object without massive damage and in this case the object is the planet Mercury,no Mercury would not be “vaporized” but it would at least cause the CME to spread out into space and travel different directions.

A planet sized object mysteriously appears out of thin air for a short time period, then disappears? Normally i would say that only stupid people would believe this garbage… but even stupid people have some kind of sense… No, for this one you would have to be a brain dead vegetable! The video shows a bright spot on the leeward side of Mercury, so plasma is following magnetic field lines. If such magnetic fields did not exist then the leeward side would be remain in the shadow of the CME and stay dark. The CME is following Mercury’s natural magnetic field, which is well known.
The CME is so intense this close to the Sun that it may excite electric currents within the planet and intensify or wobble the magnetic field. Mercury is hot enough that it is probably molten beneath the crust. Iron may form flakes within this molten material and flow. This would conduct electric current that causes Mercury to have a magnetosphere.
Since the field lines converge at the poles on opposite sides, we see the planet illuminated near the surface on the lee pole while the plasma at the windward pole is converging into a hot spot hundreds of miles above the surface.
Electric charges in the CME are not evenly distributed. Auroras on Earth dance and take different shapes. This aurora around Mercury is no spaceship. It’s just an aurora, albeit one that’s leeward and windward as opposed to borealis and australis. That it looks like the Starship Enterprise is an optical effect caused by insufficient resolution and perhaps a good smoking blend.
Besides, Mercury is a planet. A spaceship of that size would be large enough to have its tail over Phoenix Arizona while its nose is over New York City. Come now, children…enough of these tall stories to keep you awake at night.

There is a more developed-cultur out there always sending us messages via our dreams.we are not alone are supposed to decode the language in our dreams. They could easily kill any conspiracy theories anyone would have if they would show other videos of previous times where this “swamp gas” or whatever appears at other times during CMEs. SO why don’t/aren’t they..?
I like your dream. I can relate to it because I am awake just like you. Your dreams tell you what is coming in riddles. If you meditate more, you can put the clues together. Open your chakras and see what your third eye has to offer. I too have many dreams and by meditating some clues become clear to me. And yes some outside force will intervene and stop humnaity from destroying itself. But then again, we have the power to manifest a beautiful planet without the help of any ET intervention. some nice info rockymartin but i don’t see how that would explain the object seeming to appear so far off the surface, as for the glowing of mercury itself i think its a pretty sound explenation.
my issue is just that if the magnetic field lines would deflect or guide the energy from the sun or particles to a point so far off the planet it would direct them to behind the planet and not from the side where the cme is comming from.
I can’t say if its a spaceship or not ofcourse, but this one isn’t quite so easy to dismiss
