'You Got A Colour Film, Jim?': NASA
On December 24, 1968, three people saw this happen firsthand: Apollo 8 Commander Frank Borman and crew members William A. Anders and James A. Lovell, Jr.
‘Oh my god look at that picture over there. Here’s the Earth coming up,’ says one of the astronauts in a recording Nasa used to reconstruct its 3D video. ‘You got a colour film Jim. Hand me a roll of colour quick.’
One astronaut takes a picture with a black-and-white Hasselblad cameras on board the craft – then 58 seconds later, the crew found a colour camera.
‘Earthrise’ is the first-ever colour picture of our planet taken from space – a blue orb hovering over a grey moonscape, captured from Apollo 8 on December 24, 1968.
‘I got it ri – It’s a beautiful shot.’
The picture ‘Earthrise’ was on the cover of Life’s book ’100 Photographs that Changed the World,’ in which wilderness photographer Galen Rowell deemed it ‘the most influential environmental photograph ever taken.’
The new visualisation is built using ‘moon maps’ from Nasa’s currrent Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter – and allows modern viewers a glimpse of what the astronauts saw in 1968.

blow up the 2nd pic 500% , then left of the supposed earth is EITHER a UFO or something that should NOT be there!!! it’s large. If you look close at the picture you can even see it without blowing the pic up. there is another object above the horizon of the moon that we shouldn’t be able to see, but its there!

I am not a space scientist, but if the earth is six times bigger than the moon, how come the earth looks only moon-sized in this picture ?
I have looked at pictures of one of the the surviving LEMs, and it is tiny, so tiny that two fully-kitted astro-nots can only just fit into it. So the implication is that they would have to have been suited up inside the CM by the so-called CM pilot. Once in the LEM, and flying it by standing upright and using dials which have painted-on needles connected to a computer that could have just about run Donkey Kong, they would have had to pee inside those suits, because you can’t get your willie out in zero gravity. The LEM is not even airtight, it looks like it was made by someone in a downtown parking lot. Sorry, but this is all a gigantic hoax. As Hitler said, the bigger the con, the more people will find it hard not to believe it. If I am wrong, explain.

Yeah and guess what… earth would not look colorful at 240,000 miles out. It would look gray like the moon does… hmmm…
don’t be daft 5T4RSCREAM,Jupiter looks orange through a telescope at how ever many million miles away,Mars looks red to the naked eye and guess what it’s RED,so going on that basis what color would the earth be as seen from space? earth colored perhaps.
