Mars To Be Hit By Massive Comet In 2014

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Astronomers predict a large-scale disaster on the Red Planet in October 2014, when a comet may ram into Mars, creating a 500-kilometer crater, the website of the Russian observatory ISON-NM said.

According to scientists, a catastrophe of global scale may occur on Mars. The trajectory of comet C/2013 A1, which Australian astronomers discovered in early 2013, will supposedly intersect with Mars. If it happens, the impact will produce an explosion, the power of which will be equivalent to 20 billion megatons of TNT.

The forecast is based on current measurements and will be updated as new data arrive. It was said that the comet was moving in the direction opposite to the planets of the solar system. Therefore, the speed in the possible impact will be very high – about 56 kilometers per second. The core of the comet is 50 kilometers large. A crater with the diameter of 500 kilometers may thus be formed on the crash site.

This is literally huge news if it pans out to be true. An exciting aspect to this is that we will get to see it.  We have rovers on Mars.  The bad thing is how will that affect us?  -Mort

        Could be.

If you been following the Chemtrail saga you will notice that the Chemtrails and the Aircraft delivery system follows the Sun and covering the sky with Chemtrails to Obscure whatever is out by the Sun or coming in From the Sun.

This is a cover story for something else……a 50KM diameter comet???? That is the size of small moon hardly a comet!! If that hit Earth we are finished!!

This could all be made up to, have not seen anything in the news on it, only here and you know what kind of kooks you have orbiting around here.

Concerned about the effects this will have on earth. Mars rocks have been hurled here many times before.

According to this site it may NOT hit Mars.

According to preliminary orbital prediction models, comet C/2013 A1 will buzz Mars on Oct. 19, 2014. C/2013 A1 was discovered by ace comet-hunter Robert McNaught at the Siding Spring Observatory in New South Wales, Australia, on Jan. 3. When the discovery was made, astronomers at the Catalina Sky Survey in Arizona looked back over their observations to find “prerecovery” images of the comet dating back to Dec. 8, 2012. These observations placed the orbital trajectory of comet C/2013 A1 through Mars orbit on Oct. 19, 2014. Due to uncertainties in the observations — the comet has only been observed for 74 days (so far), so it’s difficult for astronomers to forecast the comet’s precise location in 20 months time — comet C/2013 A1 may fly past at a very safe distance of 0.008 AU (650,000 miles). But to the other extreme, its orbital pass could put Mars directly in its path.”

Well it’s going to rain earth with debree, hopefully it’s big pieces of comet or mars with would be unlikely because anything that big hitting something that fast will no longer be a “thing” just dust. We’ll just have to see.

      edit: Hopefully it’s “not”

according to the jpl orbital diagram it should be on or around 10/20/14…

      Comet/Asteroid ?

      me thinks not.
More like firing a Nuke at Mars just like the fired at the Lcros mission fired at the moon.

Maybe their are beings on Mars and ‘THEY’ want to attack them.

‘THEY’ being the dark Ones behind the Puppet Governments.

It certainly seems that we’ve entered a very bad neighborhood!
