Casatus crater filmed from Earth. HD video through telescope.

This article refers to the southern craters of the Moon . The video presented here, the area is in full light of the sun . Crater filmed in the middle is Casatus (111 km) . Notice in its center a small bright crater . It is Casatus A (56 km).

In some periods , when the Moon is at a different phase , we can distinguish the features of disordered south pole of the Moon better, but here , these features have no shade , the whole area is brightly lit . At this time , the temperature in this area is extremely high, but not higher than the Moon ‘s equator.

The image is inverted, and should therefore be kept in mind that north is at the bottom . Under Casatus (actually north of it), we can distinguish Klaproth‘s fine crater floor (119 km) , which has a part of the southern edge  destroyed by Casatus .
On the left , we see the crater Moretus (114 km) .
On the horizon , of the Moon, you see several peaks stand out. These are not mountains, but the crater rim of Newton (79 km) crater .
