Space and Quakes

Asteroids: There are now 2 asteroids under 10LD (lunar distance) for August at this time. The distances for the 2 asteroids are 7.50LD on the 11th and 6.11LD on the 12th of August.

Solar Winds: Earth should get a brush of solar wind today or tomorrow.

Sunspots: sunspot AR2571 still poses a slight threat for M-class solar flares and will be leaving the solar disk soon. There are 3 more sunspots that are quiet for now but will need to be watched.

Meteor Showers: The Perseid meteor shower observers are seeing around 20+ per hour under dark-skies but that could increase to 200 per hour on August 11-12.

Planets: Venus, Mercury, Jupiter, the Moon, Mars and Saturn — they’re all alinged in the evening sky this week.

Earthquakes: There has been 9 quakes of 4+ and 6 quakes of 5+ magnitude in the last 12 hours.
