Space and Quakes

Asteroids: There are 2 asteroids under 10LD (lunar distance) for August at this time. They will pass Earth at the distances of 7.50LD on the 11th and 6.11LD on the 12th of August.

Solar Winds. The Earth is inside a solar stream that may continue for the next 24 hours.

Sunspots: Sunspot AR2571 is moving of the solar disk and the other 3 sunspots pose no threat for solar flares at this time but should be watched.

Meteor Showers: The Perseid meteor shower shold be at it’s best tonight and tomorrow night, with up to 200 per hour.

Planets: Right after sunset tonight you should be able to see Venus, Mercury and Jupiter aligned in the twilight. When the Moon comes up you will see Mars and Saturn by her side.

Earthquakes: There has been 11 quakes of 4+ and 1 quake of 5+ magnitude in the last 12 hours.
