Space and Quakes

Asteroids: There is an asteroid that will pass Earth today at a distance of 6.11LD (lunar distance). That is all for August under 10LD at this time.

Solar Winds: Earth is inside a stream of solar wind at this time.

Sunspots: Sunspot AR2571 should be rotating off the solar disk today or tomorrow. The other 3 sunspots are stable and pose no threat of solar flares at this time.

Meteor Showers: The Perseid meteor shower is peaking tonight and maybe just as good tomorrow night also. There could be as many as 200 per hour over the next two nights.

Planets: Step outside tonight at sunset and see the Moon, Mars and Saturn gathered to form a triangle in the twilight sky.

Earthquakes: The last 12 hours has been busy with Earthquakes. There has been 18 quakes of 4+, 11 quakes of 5+, 1 quake of 6+ (Pacific Ocean East / Tonga / `Ohonua) and 3 quakes of 7+ (Pacific Ocean West / Vanuatu / Isangel) magnitude that caused a Tsunami waring to be issued but none was observed.
