Asteroids: Asteroid (2016 RM20) size 25 meters will pass Earth today at the distance of 6.18 (LD). There is one more in September at this time,(2009 UG) size 101 meters will pass on the 30th at the distance of 4.81 (LD).

Solar Winds: Earth is entering a stream of solar wind today and this is sparking G1-class geomagnetic storms and auroras.

Sunspots: There are now 4 sunspots AR2592 – 2593 – 2594 – 2595 on the solar disk. But none of these pose a threat for strong solar flares at this time.

Earthquakes: There has been 14 quakes of 4+ and 3 quakes of 5+ magnitude in the last 12 hours.

Storms: Tropical Storm Malakas (Typhoon 3) is going to hit Kagoshima, Japan today. Tropical Storm Karl is still forecast to stregthen in a day or two. Tropical depression Thirteen is expected to become a Tropical Storm today. Tropical Storm Paine continues to weaken but Mexico has issued warnings from Punta Eugenia to Cabo San Quintin.
