Our Artificial Moon
Fernando T. Much is speculated about our satellite neighbor and various theories are proposed about it. If it is natural or artificial, if human being really reached it, whether or not it was occupied by other beings in the past and even … today. A controversial photograph We are going to enter one of these slopes,
These are astrophysicists Anthony Colaprete and Kimberly Ennico Smith who at that time already had several years of experience working for NASA. The curious thing and what caught the attention of many, were the papers that appear on the table, specifically the one that shows a photograph of what appears to be the lunar surface and in which, making an enlargement, an unusual shape with right angles.
Of course, this sparked speculation and many suggested that it was a structure. Countless theories were put forward, from an optical effect to proof that there were artificial constructions on the Moon and that NASA made a human error by publishing the photograph in which the image of the structure was sneaked but… there was something more suspicious about the scene. Did they want to destroy it? The image shows us the most important day of the LCROSS (Lunar Crater Observation and Sensing Satellite) mission, which was October 9, 2009 when they made two impacts against the lunar surface. The objective was to confirm the presence of ice in the “Cabeus ” crater which, due to its location, was in an area of constant darkness. And it is speculated that the strange element of the photograph was in that place. So first the “Centauro” module was launched, which was used to propel the probe, against this region so that the probe could perform various measurements on the impact and the consequent ejection of material and then the same probe did the same by launching itself over the same place. It could not be otherwise and some suspected if what NASA really wanted was to destroy this structure with the impacts … What actually happened? A curious event is that someone contacted the astrophysicist in the photograph to ask him to comment on a debate that was attracting more and more attention.
He published in a forum the response of the technician who indicated that it was simply a computer-generated digital model that they used to make measurements and transmit the coordinates of the impacts to the observatories on the ground. Could be like this? Note that this is a forum post and is not an official response from the space agency … However, it is always interesting to know all the information available so that everyone can form their own opinion.
