“Every moment in this life is an opportunity to make a conscious choice and each of us have infinite possibilities.”

JORDAN B. NICE
Venice, California
He is a Fine Artist, Photographer, Film Maker and Actor who brings his love for health and conscious living into his craft everyday. His paintings and murals have as his main subjects some beautiful landscapes that are infused with the spirit of nature with some influence of 19th century art. One of his latest sketch comedies he was part of won Best Web Series In the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. Among his other projects are completing consciouslifeproductions.com  and other sites that benefit the whole  encouraging art, passion , heightened awareness and care for the ecosystem and the return to natural lifestyles.

I am a lover of art and nature and Jordan’s work marries both.  It brings me back to a place where my heart is alive. Remembering where my spirit lies… Remembering home.
“Through the Feminine”
(one of his original oil paintings)
WHO IS JORDAN NICE?
I’m an artist, filmmaker and a passionate spiritual person. I love Nature. I think bringing people back to nature…back to natural lifestyles and just being more in tune with natural ecosystems isn’t only just the answer to health problems… its the answer to people’s daily stresses… it’s the answer to a world of socio-political problems we have. I think it is very important to just getting people’s attention in that direction, realizing that we can have a large impact just by making different choices.
TELL ME ABOUT YOUR ART.
I’m a landscape fine-art painter I also paint murals, and do permanent sculpture installations. All my work really centers around nature, whether it be surreal or realistic natural landscapes. It brings people back to a place that they know to be home and they somehow feel familiar with. As far as my artwork goes I wanted to broaden awareness. These beautifull places stil exist on our planet, and they are worth far more than the value of their lumber or stone which can be quarried from their slopes. Our value systems as an entire race need to change!
DID YOU DREAM THIS UP AS A CHILD?
I’ve always been that way since I was a kid…I used to cut lunch class and go and eat my lunch at the woods. Ive always felt most at home immersed in the subtle tones and sounds of nature.
I grew up surrounded by woods and forest, by the time I was 18 it was all pretty much cleared to make huge neighborhoods. That devastated me.
We’ve lost a lot over the past 150 years. We’ve been around for thousands and thousands of years. And here we are in 150 years just completely changing everything about how we connect to our natural surroundings and what we even think. We’re forgetting the true value of what we have.
WHAT’S KEEPING YOU BUSY THESE DAYS?
I do a lot of artwork. I’m looking for mural gigs right now. I’m actually working on some. What I’d like to do is in big city centers find big buildings like 10 story – 20 story buildings where the owners will commission me to do a landscape mural on the wall. Because I think it will be beautiful to have these big, gorgeous landscapes like just right in the middle of a downtown city wall. It’s not just a picture. It would change things, bringing people back to their natural state when they’re just walking around.

WHAT HAVE YOU LEARNED FROM YOURSELF LATELY?
I learned that if you allow yourself to share creatively,  no matter how big or small – as long as you have have no judgement about it – like paintng a picture or playing a song… you are evoking the muse of true source energy. But only without judgement. Only without ego. Thats why I challenge myself to paint live in front of people. It forces me to be presen t to my craft and get out of my head . You’re never gonna be able to play it if you’re thinking about if it doesn’t sound right, or if it doesn’t look great etc.
This applies to creating a new world as well. Don’t worry about how you can fix things – just think about what you can do at a day to day basis. Just be in a positive place and make choices that have positive impacts in the world. I mean you can go to the grocery and spend 20 cents more for something that is actually thought out to be not to be intrusive to the ecosystems or the local economies, fair trade, non-GMO, organic, locally grown. People need to see that it’s really not that complicated. So whether it’s artwork or just being an informed shopper, every person can create change in the world!
WHAT HAVE YOU UNLEARNED?
That we are inflexible…that things are the way they are. I’m this kind of person or people are the way they are. It’s not really like that. There are a lot of things that people can do or think about differently that will change who they are. It’s really not as cut and dry as it seems. People can transform just by introducing concepts in this sphere of choices.
WHAT PASSIONS DO YOU ENJOY?
I listen to a lot of speakers. I read books from people like Gregg Braden, Bruce Lipton (Biology of Belief), I do a lot of studying on those levels and on ancient civilizations.
WHAT DO YOU LOVE MOST ABOUT WHAT YOU’RE DOING?
I love that I get to work on my own time and that I get to share my appreciation for nature.
TELL ME ABOUT YOUR MOST MEMORABLE MURALS.
There’s a few I’ve worked on in Venice that I normally paint which is landscape. I do a few retail stores and paint the inside – like a whole forest theme and- it was a beautiful and great experience.
YOUR MENTORS AND TEACHERS.
I would say Gregg Braden, very much so…He’s an author and geo-physicist. He is amazing. The guy knows his stuff. I’d say Bruce Lipton, Abraham Hicks, Coast to Coast radio (George Noory) and some amazing people I’ve met like Leela Shines and some other good people I’ve met.
WHAT IS LOVE?
Love is selfless appreciation and gratitude in action. If you love someone you show them. If you love the planet you help it. If you love your neighbor you share. It’s gratitude in action. Love is gratitude in action.
ANY REGRETS?
I guess my regrets are allowing  time to pass in my life without operating from a place of abundance and worrying too much, for too long.
IF YOU CAN WAKE UP ANYWHERE RIGHT NOW AT THIS VERY MOMENT, WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF AT?
I would just be away from the things of man… The High Desert in Utah or Glacier National Park in Montana or down in Patagonia , South America… Some beautiful places all around the world. In the Jungles of Peru too.
TALK ABOUT THE  PIECE YOU HELPED WORK ON FOR THE NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL INDEPENDENT FILM AND VIDEO FESTIVAL. I SAW YOU WON ‘BEST WEB SERIES’.   CONGRATULATIONS!
Thank you. I do all kinds of things… one of the them is comedy. That was a sketch comedy that I acted in. (The Big Dick Mike Show). It’s been winning a bunch of awards. I do a lot of comedy and stand up.
IF THERE WAS ONE THING YOU CAN CHANGE IN THE WORLD  , WHAT WOULD IT BE?
If I could change anything in the world permanently, I’d stop the devastation of the natural ecosystems and the planet through government incentives, responsible farming practices, and locally grow food. The rainforest that we have left is an invaluable resource to the planet and humankind. There’s rain forest medicine that’s been here for ages, this WILL BE PRESERVED! This is medicine that’s extremely important to the planet. We’re not just talking about medicine that you take when you get sick. We’re talking about plants that have downloaded eons of information and there are tribes down there that have used those plant medicines to open up a serious flow of information.
Also local systems around the world that are getting exploited. Areas down in the Indonesian rain forests. There’s all these elephants in Papua New Guinea and they are indigenous to the region and are a whole other species of elephants and they’re getting wiped because .poachers use snares and they leave them out everywhere and the animals get all caught up in them, and die of exposure I mean – these are elephants. They’re like people. Poisoning and dynamiting of great Reefs in Indonesia, or butchering whales and dolphins… THIS HAS TO END NOW!
They’re cutting up the rain forest to plant palm oil trees  -because palm oil makes a lot of money – So they’re taking out the rain forest to put these trees on. In reality they can recycle all kinds of grease and what not, to make the similar product. Those kinds of things are the most immediate to address because in 20 years we could very well have not any of these magical places for our kids and for the whole history of the planet. We could very well be letting them slip out of our hands because we’re not making a conscious choice when we’re in the grocery story and when we’re purchasing items we’re not saying – ‘hey how is this made? where is this made and what’s it made out of? is it recycled material? – things like that which people don’t look for as often. And it’s  easy, you just gotta do it. Is it organic produce or GMO produce? -these are the things that are gonna stop people from getting sick. It’s just how it is.
YOUR ONE MESSAGE TO ALL.
Every individual has infinite possibilities. Every single person is at the driver’s seat. When we talk about the Renaissance, from the Dark ages or Medieval times to the Renaissance – the transition began in ONE LIFETIME with only about 200 people really making a difference to transitioning the whole thing. And it really came down on people being passionate, being innovative, people caring about learning more, and evolving as human beings and not being stuck on old paradigms.  Every moment in this life is an opportunity to make a conscious choice and each of us have infinite possibilities.

Wonders if there can be anything other than a conscious choice… seeing as it’s opposite is hardly a state where you could make any sort of choice, ie unconscious. Sleep walking doesn’t count. lol
