Pain is there to awaken us, not destroy us.

I have learned that there will be people who will want to see you suffer, who will be jealous, and will be happy to see you fail in life, because that will be the only way they can feel better about themselves. They will get a high out of looking ‘down’ on people.

I know this because I have been this way for so many years being in the corporate world – proving my worth from being powerful and having a large paycheck. I was happy, but it wasn’t a long and lasting sense of fulfillment. I only felt true joy when I let go of everything and lived the kind of life I am living in right now and seeing how people accept me and love me even if I have NOTHING.

I’ve lost a lot of friends, and my family , but by losing it all I discovered how truly abundant I was, for I started finding true friends, with no agenda, just love. No more masks, no more pretending, no more facade. It’s been a painful painful time of purging. But it is a blessing in disguise. Life couldn’t get more RAW than this.
