Banned From The Bible & The Masada Tablet

Published on Nov 12, 2012 by DiscloseTruthTV

Prof. Ken Hanson discussed “banned from the Bible” stories that were too explosive to make the cut into the Hebrew Bible and New Testament, and a recently discovered ancient tablet that contains text similar to the Dead Sea Scrolls. In contrast to the parchment of the Dead Sea Scrolls, the tablet’s text appears as ink on stone, and is said to date back to just before Jesus’ birth. “It’s a message delivered by the angel Gabriel” about a messianic character who will rise from the dead,” and is written in the apocalyptic style of the Dead Sea Scrolls, he reported. But it is possible that the stone is a forgery, he added.

One interesting ancient text found at the ancient site of Masada, “Song of the Sabbath Sacrifice,” refers to a airborne craft and “non-terrestrial beings.” It describes a procession of angels ascending to a heavenly temple, as they soar in a Merkabah or chariot-like throne, Hanson detailed.

Encounters with such “non-terrestrial” beings may be one reason a number of ancient texts were excluded from the Bible, he said. A whole race of beings were spawned by the Nephilim, according to some of the banned books of the Bible, like the Book of First Enoch. Fragments from the Dead Sea Scrolls represent a number of these excluded books and are like “the world’s biggest jigsaw puzzle,” said Hanson. “We’re more than what we know; I think these banned books are shouting this at us…that our consciousness is something more than just the body,” he shared.

Biography:

Dr. Ken Hanson is a dynamic author, lecturer, and founder of “Treasures in Time,” an organization devoted to disseminating knowledge of the Biblical and classical world. He has dug on archaeological sites in the Middle East, lived in a politically volatile region of northern Galilee, and taught Hebrew on an Israeli agricultural settlement. He has also worked with a television news-gathering operation in a war zone in southern Lebanon, at the height of the civil war that left the jewel of the Mediterranean in ruins.

The Bible (from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία ta biblia “the books”) is a canonical collection of texts considered sacred in Judaism or Christianity. Different religious groups include different books within their canons, in different orders, and sometimes divide or combine books, or incorporate additional material into canonical books. Christian Bibles range from the sixty-six books of the Protestant canon to the eighty-one books of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church canon.

The Hebrew Bible, or Tanakh, contains twenty-four books divided into three parts; the five books of the Torah (“teaching” or “law”), the Nevi’im (“prophets”), and the Ketuvim (“writings”). The first part of Christian Bibles is the Old Testament, which contains, at minimum, the twenty-four books of the Hebrew Bible divided into thirty-nine books and ordered differently than the Hebrew Bible. The Catholic Church and Eastern Christian churches also hold certain deuterocanonical books and passages to be part of the Old Testament canon. The second part is the New Testament, containing twenty-seven books; the four Canonical gospels, Acts of the Apostles, twenty-one Epistles or letters and the Book of Revelation.

By the second century BCE Jewish groups had called the Bible books “holy,” and Christians now commonly call the Old and New Testaments of the Christian Bible “The Holy Bible” (τὰ βιβλία τὰ ἅγια). Many Christians consider the whole canonical text of the Bible to be divinely inspired. The oldest surviving complete Christian Bibles are Greek manuscripts from the fourth century. The oldest Tanakh manuscript in Hebrew and Aramaic dates to the tenth century CE, but an early fourth-century Septuagint translation is found in the Codex Vaticanus.

The Bible was divided into chapters in the thirteenth century by Stephen Langton and into verses in the sixteenth century by French printer Robert Estienne and is now usually cited by book, chapter, and verse. The Bible has estimated annual sales of 25 million copies, and has been a major influence on literature and history, especially in the West where it was the first mass printed book.

The English word Bible is from the Latin biblia, from the same word in Medieval Latin and Late Latin and ultimately from Koine Greek τὰ βιβλία ta biblia “the books” (singular βιβλίον biblion).

Medieval Latin biblia is short for biblia sacra “holy book”, while biblia in Greek and Late Latin is neuter plural (gen. bibliorum). It gradually came to be regarded as a feminine singular noun (biblia, gen. bibliae) in medieval Latin, and so the word was loaned as a singular into the vernaculars of Western Europe. Latin biblia sacra “holy books” translates Greek τὰ βιβλία τὰ ἅγια ta biblia ta hagia, “the holy books”.

Absolute nonsense. Nothing was removed from the Bible because it was “too explosive”.

      • Louis

The Bible tells the story of a God-Man who conquered death. Nothing could be more “explosive” than that.

Is Prof. Ken Hanson “dynamic,” or just plain deluded?

1 Enoch and Jubilees are two books which at one time were part of the Hebrew ‘canon’ which has come to be known in the West as the Old Testament. 1 Enoch was removed from the canon because it clearly shows the Son of Man as the Antecedent of Time, thus lending tremendous credence to the Gospel accounts of the Messiah of Israel.

The Jewish Sanhedrin closed the Tanakh (Old Testament) cannon once 1 Enoch and Jubilees were in fact ‘cut’ from the OT portion of what eventually came to be known as The ‘Book’ — aka The Bible.

The Book of Jubilees was cut because it shows conclusively that the lunar calendar observed at the time of the Second Temple, and presently observed by the rabbis in Jerusalem, is not the scripturally ordained calendar. The actual scripturally ordained calendar, described at great length in 1 Enoch as well, is a heptadic calendar and is not based on lunar months but on a continuous cycle of 30 day months with four ‘marker’ days of remembrance each year to delineate the seasons and the solstice and equinox cycle.

Gnostic tracts (such as the ones you mention) were excluded from the Bible because they are not inspired by the Holy Spirit of God.

        • BEEF SUPREME

There are three Books of Enoch. Perhaps the second is Gnostic; the third absolutely is. The first Book of Enoch is not Gnostic at all. You should check it out. There is nothing in it that is contrary or upsetting to the Bible Scriptures. Ditto with the Book of Jubilees — not Gnostic. Numerous copies of both 1 Enoch and Jubilees were found among the Dead Sea Scrolls, along with some complete copies and numerous portions and fragments of every single book from the Old Testament except Ezra.

I agree with you that no Gnostic documents are worthy to be counted among the Scriptures, but I do not agree that 1 Enoch and Jubilees (Enoch is quoted in the New Testament, Jubilees is mentioned by name) are Gnostic in nature.

Actually the book of Enoch they did want to include because he claimed to have walked and talked with God like Adam and Eve, but they didn’t have a copy at the time the bible was commissioned. It’s just as well though because Enoch claims God told him in person the world is shaped like an oblong box, the sky is a solid barrier with holes to allow the light of the sun, moon and stars, and that God sits on the solid barrier looking down on us mortals inflicting divine retribution by throwing stars at us. They are so small that many are needed. Christianity would be an even bigger laughing-stock than it already is.

There is a lot of dodgy things about the bible they don’t tell you. Ie the 4 gospels are believed to be copies of the same gospel but from Mithrasism, which is why Christianity is basically Mithrasism wearing a new name. They are all anonymous, they have no idea who they wrote them, they are just called Mathew Mark Luke and John. They are not old enough to be eye witness accounts.

The books and texts in the bible are not in chronological order, many of the documents are known forgeries, ie the letters of Timothy for one. Others, ie, Revelation is about Greek mythology, have nothing to do with Christianity what so ever.

All of the so called supporting evidence of the existence of Jesus and or early Christianity have also been proven as forgeries.

The dead sea scrolls contain a lot of information not necessarily about Judaism. Some do however and some even mention the Jewish messiah which they do not believe it was someone with the Greek name of Jesus. In any case they are older than the Christian time line for Jesus.

The book of Enoch is also a bit of a puzzle because Enoch was the son of Cain and born in Uz which was a small province contiguous with ancient Summeria. There from the earliest of times worshipped a pantheon of deities called El of the Elohim. El is singular and masculine, Elohim is plural and feminine. El had two wives, Ashereah and Rhomerah. they had an only begotten son between them called Baal, associated with Zoroastrianism’s fish god Dagon, which is mainly from ancient Persia, which was the empire who freed the Israelites from slavery in Babylon and the source of their early laws and history, not Moses. The Church hierarchy wears the same costumes as the priests of the fish god Dagon, with the long gown, mitred hat and staff.

Basically it’s all a muddled confused mess, with bits from one place and bits from another mangled together into a huge pile of superstitious ignorant BS.

I’ve read all three of the books attributed to Enoch. This is certainly not true of 1 Enoch. I advocate only for the authenticity of 1 Enoch. 2 and 3 Enoch I believe to be Gnostic inventions.

“There is a lot of dodgy things about the bible they don’t tell you. Ie the 4 gospels are believed to be copies of the same gospel but from Mithrasism, which is why Christianity is basically Mithrasism wearing a new name.”

This is the kind of nonsense espoused in the popular documentary entitled ‘Zeitgeist.’ Mithraism existed prior to the time of Messiah in Israel, true. Mithraism had many of its tenets superimposed over the teachings contained in the Scriptures to form the basis of Catholicism. There are aspects of Mithraism contained in both the Catholic and the Christian faiths to this day (Christmas and Easter anyone?), but there is no truth to the assertion that any of the Gospel accounts in the Scriptures, whether in part or in whole, were based on anything but Truth. After the time of Messiah, the recorded doctrines and teachings of Mithraism changed to reflect some of the Gospel accounts. This can be proven by the fact that things like Mithra being born of a virgin ARE NOT recorded prior to about year 30 in the Common Era. There are no ‘B.C.’ accounts which reflect Pix’s claim. Rather, all documents which do are late, indicating conclusively that Mithraism is the fraud, the thief and the usurper – and not the other way around.

“[M]any of the documents are known forgeries, ie the letters of Timothy for one. Others, ie, Revelation is about Greek mythology, have nothing to do with Christianity what so ever.”

I wonder if you might like to point to some evidence in support of any of these preposterous claims. The last of the above three absolutely betrays your utter lack of familiarity with your subject matter. There is truth to your assertion that the books in the Bible are not in chronological order, but I’m not certain what difference you suppose this makes because the teachings in the Bible are not beholden to linear timelines.

“All of the so called supporting evidence of the existence of Jesus and or early Christianity have also been proven as forgeries.”

Again – it would be helpful if we had some evidence or reference material to examine. Your opinions on the matter, like mine, are inherently valueless.

“The dead sea scrolls contain a lot of information not necessarily about Judaism. Some do however and some even mention the Jewish messiah which they do not believe it was someone with the Greek name of Jesus. In any case they are older than the Christian time line for Jesus.”

The Greek name of ‘Jesus’ is an invention of Constantine and the first council of Nicea (325 A.D.). There is no true messiah by the name of Jesus the Christ. The Messiah has a Hebrew name: Yehoshua HaNotsri (Yeshua the Nazarene). ‘Jesus’ is a fabrication, not a translation; and ‘Christ’ is an appellation appropriate only to paganism. ‘Christos’ or ‘chreistos’ means the good or the anointed, and were applied to Mithra and Tammuz long before the Hebrew Messiah of Israel came to walk among the people of this world.

In the post by Pix which begins: “The book of Enoch is also a bit of a puzzle” — Pix proceeds to demonstrate the fact that she has not made a distinction in her mind between the Gnostic (read Satanic) tracts and the authentic tracts. The academic community at large has a vested interest in casting aspersions on the Elohim of the Scriptures (calling the term ‘elohim’ plural and feminine also displays an incomplete understanding of the intended meaning of the term — insufficient to her task at hand) and detracting from both the books of accepted Scripture canon, and the authentic extra-canonical texts, so it is not difficult to point to writings and articles which agree with Pix’s argument. Truth is not found in the legions of academic articles, however…

…Truth is to be found elsewhere.

        • BEEF SUPREME

ALSO: “Enoch was the son of Cain”

          Different Enoch.

Enoch, the author of the book in question, was seven generations from Adam, was the father of Methuselah and the grandfather of Noah.

        • Louis

BEEF SUPREME — you seem to fancy yourself a theologian, but you have nothing to bring to the table except lots of words.

St. Thomas Aquinas said he learned more from meditating on the crucifix than from all of the many word-filled books he had read.

I suggest you do the same.

        • BEEF SUPREME

Do you suggest that I meditate on an abominable idol?

          What a novel idea.

Is there any reason you would take Aquinas’s advice over the commandment of the Almighty to have nothing to do with idols of any stripe?

Why not meditate on the Scriptures as they are written. Why not meditate on the commandments of the Almighty. Why not meditate on the psalms and the proverbs?

Who told you that the authorities of Catholicism could overrule the orders given by the Almighty in the Scriptures?

          They lied to you.

Now you can move to investigate the truth of this matter for yourself, or you can attack me as a fraud and a charlatan. One will benfit you, the other will make you feel good for a few minutes.

The Catholic Church is not what you have been told it is. The lies of men, no matter how convincing, will never outweigh the orders of the Almighty.
