CHRIST Shows Up At Your Door...

Christ comes to your door, rings the bell, and you answer, because you know it’s Him. After all, you invited Him many years ago and have expected His arrival. Humbly, He smiles at your motion to enter the house, taking the seat you offer with words of gratitude, because His journey to find your castle was long.

You ask about His journey. He thanks you for asking and replies that it has reminded Him of the first time He came to visit Earth and its inhabiters, but admits it seems much more difficult than before, because people are tired of hearing the Truth and hate it, especially the Truth about themselves. You respond that you’ve encountered that as well, from others. A moment of silence occurs… until you say, “Let me show You my home.”

Within the next half hour, you show Him the rooms of your house and comment on a few of your furnishings, and where you got them: a dresser from India; a rug from Persia; and a car from the late 1930s. You tell Him what a great deal they were. You even show Him an eagle you have carved in a log, using only a few hand-tools, and the Do-It-Yourself project of remodeling the kitchen. But you apologize that you haven’t removed the old scratched table to the curb, since you’ve bought a new one. The tour ends with you showing Him an antique Jesus painting that was practically a steal at a recent auction. Another moment of silence occurs, because you realize it doesn’t look at all like the Christ standing in front of you. Grabbing it with both hands you remove it from the wall, and place it on the floor. Christ goes one step further and turns it over, so that only the back of the frame is showing.

Awkwardly, you motion for Him to enter the dining room, because you’ve prepared a feast in His honor. Seeing the amount of food on the table, He asks, “Where are the other guests?” You smile proudly, because you’ve made everything for Him, and pull out the head chair for Him. He sits and says that He’ll place what His body needs on the plate, disappointing you that He didn’t sample your “famous” barbeque pork, and home-made cinnamon-raisin bread. In fact, you notice He takes only a small portion, yet finishes every morsel down to scraping the plate. He reminds you that He uses the diet outlined from Father in Deuteronomy. He explains the blood and fat of animals carries toxins, which can make the body sick, and that certain animals are unclean and should be avoided as food, for the same reason. He put only what He needed to fuel the body on the plate and ate all of it, because He also explains overeating is and/or wasting food is sinful, because others are going without. Feeding the body more than it needs strengthens the human-side, the side you must conquer; and because you must control it, do not give it more power/fuel than it needs. All the Prophets fasted to weaken their human-sides, and to increase their spiritual strength, which allowed them to hear Father’s guidance better. It was a form of self-sacrifice.

After the meal, you invite Him back to the living room to sit and talk. You explain how you see the world today, and what needs to be done. He is quiet. Then, you explain how He should do all the various things you have been trying, because if He did them, then people would listen. He remains silent, prompting you to ask if anything is wrong. Christ asks why you believe you know better than Father, or why your plan is better than Father’s plan in the Bible, that He has instructed everyone to put into action.  At that moment, you realize you are trying to be the Teacher, and the true Teacher and only Master at Life sits in front of you. Humbly you ask, “Master, please teach me”.

Christ tells you to follow God’s Law, Judgements and Statutes as instructed, which are outlined in the Torah, the first five books of the Bible. He says to love Father first and foremost, then to love everyone else. Christ also explains that He saw your Earthly home when you opened the door, because He saw the body that houses your soul. It is the cross you must bear, or control. The body, run by its human-side, is concerned with Earthly furnishings, food, deals and steals, graven-images, and what it thinks is right (Deuteronomy 12:8). None of what you showed Him will enter heaven, He explains. Christ also explains that you should have taken care of the old table, paying close attention not to scratch it; and instead of replacing it, that you should have repaired the table, because the destruction of the table is wasteful, and replacing it breeds materialism. “Please, teach me more,” you ask.

Christ tells you that you must develop a personal one-on-one relationship with Father, by spending time alone with Father, in quiet thought, learning to hear His voice and instruction. When Christ left the first time, He left the Holy Spirit with everyone, so that they could communicate with Father directly. Few have ever truly understood this gift. In the world today, it would require Faith. You realize you must never lose faith in Father, you must trust as Noah did, despite the critics in the world. You must Trust as Abraham did. “I want everyone to like me and fit in here,” you say. Christ explains that that desire is from your human-side, but a spirit desires to please Father (Galatians 1:10).

He explains that one must be like Him to enter heaven again. Christ followed God’s Law, Judgements, Statutes and Commandments and told all others to do the same (John 14:6). He also talked with Father and did His Will, not His own. Christ loved everyone, even His enemies. “But I know all this,” you say, realizing that your efforts have not been disciplined, especially in the last few years, and “knowing” and “keeping” are two different things.

“Master, please tell me Your new name,” you ask, quoting Revelation 3:12: Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the Temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, [which is] New Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and [I will write upon him] my NEW name.

Christ reminded you that His followers would recognize His voice and then know His new name, quoting John 10:4: And when he putteth forth his own sheep, he goeth before them, and the sheep follow him: for they know his voice. His Voice, that speaks The Word of Father’s Truth. They would know Him by the Truth He speaks, when He returned.

Would you be glad you invited Him in, or regret having opened the door, instead of leaving Him knocking, outside (Luke 12:36, 13:25)?

Deuteronomy 12:8: Ye shall not do after all [the things] that we do here this day, every man whatsoever [is] right in his own eyes.

Galatians 1:10: For do I now persuade men, or [does] God [through me]? Or do I seek to please men? For if I yet PLEASED men, I should NOT be the servant of Christ.

John 14:6: Jesus saith unto him, I am The Way, the Truth, and the Life: Not one man cometh unto the Father, EXCEPT by me.

Luke 12:36: And ye yourselves like unto men that wait for their lord, when he will return for the Wedding; that when he cometh and knocketh, they may open unto him immediately.

Luke 13:25: When once The Master of the house is risen up, and hath closed the door, and ye begin to stand outside, and to knock at the door, saying, Lord, Lord, open unto us; and he shall answer and say unto you, I know you not nor where ye are from:
