Was Mick Jagger Saved by a Guardian Angel?

Sometimes we need to remind ourselves of just what an awesome gift from God our guardian angel is – a gift that, too often, goes untapped.

Every year on October 2nd the Church celebrates a Feast Day in honor of Guardian Angels. Notice, angels are mentioned constantly throughout the Bible.

Three of the verses most commonly associated with guardian angels, in particular, are:

“See that you do not despise one of these little ones; for I tell you that in heaven their angels always behold the face of my Father who is in heaven.” – Matthew 18:10

For God commands the angels to guard you in all your ways. With their hands they shall support you, lest you strike your foot against a stone.” – Psalm 91:4-6, 11-12

“Thus says the Lord, ‘See, I am sending an angel before you, to guard you on the way and bring you to the place I have prepared. – “Exodus 23:20-23

The Guardian published a bizarre story back in March of 2008, interesting a read though as a reminder that Guardian Angels might just really exist;

Mick Jagger has long been regarded as one of rock music’s greatest troupers, but was he aware of how much of a survivor he really was?

An FBI agent revealed to BBC that the Rolling Stones singer was the target of an assassination attempt by the Hells Angels.

The attempt to kill Sir Mick was made by a group of Hells Angels after the infamous Altamont Speedway Free Concert in 1969, which the Rolling Stones had organized and for which the motorcycle gang reportedly provided security.

Meredith Hunter, a black 18-year-old member of the audience, was stabbed and kicked to death by a group of Hells Angels, in an attack captured on film cameras. As a result, Jagger allegedly refused to use their services again.
