Divine Intervention and the Gift

Accepting guardian angels becomes our personal choice. It is a question of faith. Do we believe in something more? We can either be open to the angels’ presence or lock ourselves up and feel so alone. From my personal experience, I remember when I was first informed of my mom’s cancer diagnosis. I thought the cancer might change her view of angels, although she had complete faith in her guardian angel; instead her faith grew stronger.

We all face challenges in our lives. Whether physical, emotional, or spiritual, it is at those moments when the dark clouds are forming that our faith is tested. Do we shut down or open up? The guardian angels point the way to our stronger selves. They assist us in tapping into our better qualities.

Haven’t you wondered where that burst of strength comes from when you feel all spent or used up? Haven’t you pondered how you can see the glimmer of light, which keeps getting brighter; yet others appear to be drawn into the darkness?

My mom never faltered in her belief that her guardian angel was always beside her as she slowly faded from the cancer that finally took her at the young age of 52. She always said that we never walked alone. I remember that she always had a smile on her face and a twinkle in her eyes. It was as if she knew the truth that an invisible world was alive and well all around her at all times.

To her, the invisible world was as tangible as the table and chairs in the dining room.

We can either see the world filled with goodness, humor, decency, understanding, and angels or let the darkness overwhelm us. We have a choice. We can choose to believe, see, and feel that which is all around us – visible or not – or live myopically. We can either live with blinders on; only experiencing the obvious, or we can choose to live in a more magical, hopeful world.
