Did Messiah and His Disciples Keep Sabbath?

During the time of Messiah’s teaching on earth in a place called Judah, where the JEWS lived, in a land in the Middle East there was a conflict with this man Messiah, Yahushua, or correctly translated to English, JOSHUA, a name which means YAHUWAY OR YHWH’S SALVATION and those who were running things at the temple in Jerusalem.  These men had a book that they used as a rule book and it was NOT the book that Father YHWH had given them through Moses, the TORAH.  It was a book written in the place where YHWH had thrown them to off the land of JUDAH, when they did not obey the WORDS OF HIS COMMANDMENTS.   As it happens, just as He warned them they and He would do in those Words.

Deu 32:15  But Jeshurun grew fat, and kicked; you grew fat, thick and sated. And he abandoned God who made him, and fell away from the Rock of his salvation. 
Deu 32:16  With strange gods they moved Him to jealousy; and with idols they provoked Him to anger. 
Deu 32:17  They sacrificed to demons who were not God, to gods whom they did not know, new ones who came lately. Your fathers had not dreaded them. 
Deu 32:18  You forgot the Rock that brought you into being and ceased to care for God who formed you. 
Deu 32:19  And Jehovah looked and despised them because of the provocation of His sons and of His daughters. 
Deu 32:20  And He said, I will hide My face from them; I will see what their end will be; for they are a perverse generation, sons in whom is no faithfulness. 
Deu 32:21  They made Me jealous with a not-a-god; they made Me angry by their vanities; and I shall make them jealous by a not-a-people; by a foolish nation I shall make them angry. 
Deu 32:22  For a fire has been kindled in My anger, and it burns to the lowest Sheol, and consumes the earth and its produce; and sets on fire the foundations of the mountains. 
Deu 32:23  I will heap evils on them; I will use up My arrows on them. 
Deu 32:24  I will send on them exhaustion by famine, and depletion by burning heat, and bitter destruction, and the teeth of beasts, with the venom of crawling things of the dust. 
Deu 32:25  The sword shall bereave from without, and terror from within, both the young man and the virgin, the suckling with the man of gray hairs. 
Deu 32:26  I said, I will dash them to pieces; I will make their memory cease from among men; 
Deu 32:27  saying, Were it not the provocation of an enemy I feared, that their foes should judge amiss, that they might not say, Our hand is high, and Jehovah has not done all this. 
Deu 32:28  For they are a nation void of counsel, and no understanding is in them. 
Deu 32:29  If they were wise, they would understand this; they would consider their latter end. 
Deu 32:30  How could one chase a thousand, and two put a myriad to flight, if it were not their Rock that sold them, and Jehovah had shut them up? 
Deu 32:31  For their rock is not our Rock, even our enemies being judges. 
Deu 32:32  For their vine is of the vine of Sodom, and their grapes of the fields of Gomorrah, grapes of gall; they have bitter clusters. 
Deu 32:33  Their wine is the venom of serpents, and the cruel venom of asps. 
Deu 32:34  Is it not stored up with Me, sealed in My treasuries? 
Deu 32:35  Vengeance and retribution belong to Me; in due time their foot will slip; for the day of their calamity is near, and the things prepared are hurrying for them. 
Deu 32:36  For Jehovah will bring His people justice; and He shall have compassion on His servants, for He sees that their power is gone, and only the imprisoned and abandoned remain. 
Deu 32:37  And He will say, Where are their gods, the rock in which they sought refuge? 

So Father did MAKE Tthe people of Judah to be taken off the land and to a place called Babylon and there these men  wrote a book called the Talmud and it is that same Babylonian book that exists today and existed at the time of Messiah.  It is full of the foolish ideas of men about how to do the things that Father said to do in His commandments, but it is so much more than just that.  It adds to those Words and it teaches mens ways to get around those words in such a way that he is not breaking the words that the man wrote about those words.  How stupid can you get?   How stupid to change the commandment that Father so simply put : THOU SHALT DO NO SERVILE WORK, into you cannot carry something outside of your yard in your hands.  So put up a string in the air all around your village and proclaim it as your yard, then you can walk around in your villiage carrying your bowl of grapes without breaking the law.  REALLY?  What about the breaking of the law by doing this:

Deu_12:32  All the things that I command you, take heed to do them and you shall not add to it, nor take away from it. 

So when men start telling you that Messiah came and did away with Sabbath and that we do not have to keep Sabbath and should do as Messiah did and break the laws of the Commandments of YHWH , then you know that the person telling you this has no real understanding of Messiah, or YHWH or how to live like Messiah lived.  They are void of understanding.

Because the thing that “THE JEWS”  in the books of the Gospels or what gospel means THE COMING OF YHWH’S KINGDOM, buth the thing that the jews in those books are telling Messiah that HE is BREAKING are not the COMMANDMENTS OF YHWH  at all.  What Messiah is breaking are the codes of men from the TALMUD. or as he put it, TRADITIONS OF MEN.

Why did He do that?  Why didn’t He just go along with them?  Lets look to His own Words to those very men:

Mat 15:1  Then the scribes and Pharisees came to Jesus from Jerusalem, saying, 
Mat 15:2  Why do Your disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? For they do not wash their hands when they eat bread. 
Mat 15:3  But answering He said to them, Why do you also transgress the command of God on account of your tradition? 

But the Son of YHWH did teach men to keep Sabbath as Father said.  And in perfect harmony with Father YHWH whom He knew and understood more than any other man alive or dead , ever.  why?  because He and His Father are one.  He knew exactly what Father meant by every Word of the Commandments, especially the Sabbaths, which had become so much different than what Father meant for them to be.  They were to be a blessing for men, not some cursed thing that must be “gotten around”.  Messiah even stated:

Mat_12:8  For the Son of Man is also Lord of the sabbath. 

He also talked about Sabbaths as a day that must be kept according to His Father’s wishes.

Mat_24:20  And pray that your flight will not occur in winter nor in a sabbath. 

Mar_2:27  And He said to them, The sabbath came into being for man’s sake, not man for the sabbath’s sake. 

And He did the things that Father allows us to do on the Sabbath: 

Mar_6:2  And a sabbath having come, He began to teach in the synagogue. And hearing, many were amazed, saying, From where came these things to this One? And what is the wisdom given to Him, that even such works of power come about through His hands? 
Mar_15:42  And it becoming evening already, since it was the preparation, that is, the day before sabbath, 

Luk_6:1  And it happened on the second chief sabbath, He passed along through the sown fields. And His disciples plucked the heads and were eating, rubbing with the hands. 

Luk_6:6  And it also happened on another sabbath, He going into the synagogue and teaching. And a man was there, and his right hand was withered. 
Luk_6:7  And the scribes and the Pharisees kept close by Him, to see if He would heal on the sabbath, so that they might find a charge against Him. 
Luk_13:14  But answering, being angry that Jesus healed on the sabbath, the synagogue ruler said to the crowd, There are six days in which it is right to work. Therefore, coming in these, be healed, and not on the sabbath day. 
Luk_13:15  Then the Lord answered him and said, Hypocrite! Each one of you on the sabbath, does he not untie his ox or ass from the manger, and leading it away, give it drink? 

Because Father did allow us to do good on the sabbath, He in fact expected us to do so when needed no matter what day it was.  Not just our own ox in the ditch but our neighbors or the stangers ox or ass, was to be rescued and taken care of no matter what day it was according to the Commandments of YHWH.

Luk_14:3  And answering, Jesus spoke to the lawyers and Pharisees, asking whether it is lawful to heal on the sabbath. 
Luk_14:5  And answering to them He said, Whose ass or ox of yours shall fall into a pit, and he will not at once pull it up on the sabbath day? 

But the men at the temple were putting more store into the “traditions of men or THE TALMUD’”: than the Words of the Commandments of YHWH and it was their egotistical belief that they knew better than this man Yahushua whose very name means YHWH’s Salvation.  that drove them to this:

Joh_5:16  And because of this, the Jews persecuted Jesus and lusted to kill Him, because He did these things on a sabbath. 
Joh_5:18  Because of this, therefore, the Jews lusted the more to kill Him, for not only did He break the sabbath, but also called God His own Father, making Himself equal to God. 

Let me add this to this last verse, according to their book the Talmud. Because that is what is not stated here in these books, but is in fact what was happening.

But Messiah did keep SABBATH and He TAUGHT OTHERS TO KEEP SABBATH.  He kept ALL OF THE COMMANDMENTS OF YHWH in order to be that perfect blameless Lamb that was slaughtered and killed on at the exact time of the slaughter and killing of the PASSOVER LAMB.  Why?  Because he is that sacrifice for us.  His blood is over our doors, keeping out the death of eternal darkness far from His Father and brining us into the light and love and the glory of YHWH . His Father and the ONE TRUE GOD.

So why is Sabbath so important?  Because when you keep it you are keeping a covenant with YHWH.

Exo_31:16  And the sons of Israel shall observe the Sabbath, to do the Sabbath for their generations; it is a never ending covenant. 

So are you part of the real Israel, those who are of HIS KINGDOM and COVENANT? 

You can be.  Keep His commandments .  Accept His Messiah Yahushua.  Live.
